Chose this place due to proximity of hotel. It's country cooking on the buffet. Fried and fried...decent saland bar. Tables are a bit sticky. Condiment bottles need cleaning. It was an o.k. stop for dinner. Really, not worth a second visit for us. Handicap parking at the front door. They don't give you a check so you go to register and they remember what you had. They do have a menu to order from.

The new Cafe' Nola invokes excitement and incredible nightlife while presenting the flavors, sights, and smells of the Caribbean and New Orleans. Reminiscent of Rick's Café in Casablanca, the restaurant delights patrons with lunch, and dinner with a robus
The room continues to be excellent. They are adding more specials to the menu. It is nice the word is getting out and the restaurant is well patronized each time we eat there. The main issue has been the service. I want to congratulate two excellent wait staff we have encountered our last two visits. Ask for Alexia or Robert! They were attentive, helpful, knowledgeable, gave extra, fast, kept the water flowing with out having to ask. Great food and poor service makes the great food dull. These to staff made for a well rounded excellent experience. Cheers to Robert and Alexia!

Most people don't think amazing, when they hear Waffle House....so here's my story. I was deployed to Panama City for 8 days during Hurricane response. I went all 8 days without any breakfast eating MRE's and drinking water. When our relief squad arrived, we found out we were going home this last Thursday morning. We checked out of our hotel (Best Western) right down the road and decided to get our first hot breakfast at the Waffle House. I can not put into words how glorious it was. We had hot coffee, fresh orange juice, delicious eggs, tasty waffles, crispy bacon, and fantastic grits. The staff here was outstanding and very attentive. They thanked us for our service and made sure we did not leave hungry. This was one of the best meals I have had in years. Some times, you have to put things in perspective. Many people are suffering terribly in Bay county, FL and sometimes all you need is a hot, delicious breakfast to put a smile on your face.

Had dinner here while stopping to rest for the night. Only thing close to hotel and only restaurant needed for the area. Very good bbq. Fries aren't the best but who needs fries. The staff was so friendly. Thought were in Mayberry. It is worth getting off the interstate 10 just to eat.

Small casual restaurant 3 miles off of Interstate 10. Friendly and quiet. Just good ole country folks serving good ole food.
Place has an unclean feeling to it. Maybe it is leftover hurricane damage I don't know. However I have to say the restroom was the cleanest place in the building. Service was kind of slow and the pizza was horrible. Reminded me of convenience store Pizza. What I thought was strange it had so much cheese on it. Never in my life have I ever gotten a pizza with that much cheese. I guess if you like extra cheese you may like their Pizza. Husband got chicken wings he said they were good.

Moseyed over toward Paxton down US 331 to locate this little restaurant north of DeFuniak Springs for the home cooking we have heard much about. We were not disappointed. The fried chicken was tender without greasiness with just the right amount of light crisp breading. One could order white, dark or a combination without added costs for all white. The sides we chose where green beans (flat Italian with seasoning and bit of onion), squash casserole and potato salad. Two sides come with the entrée. All were fresh, delicious and perfectly seasoned southern delights. I don't care for most potato salads in restaurants, but this one was great with cubes in all sizes and shapes, obviously hand cut. The dressing was smooth light without an aftertaste. Each of us had the squash which was equally good. The menu is on a chalk board in the back of the dining area. A neighboring diner ordered the fried shrimp and they looked fabulous too! We will definitely be back to try other entrees! Fish and Gumbo were also entrée selections. I wish they would update the menus on their Facebook page. If they serve certain foods on certain days of the weeks that would be nice to know. Our server, a nephew of the owner was polite, efficient and attentive. The owner even came over to chat with us a while and told us her story of opening the restaurant in what was her late parents' former filling station and country store. The building has been updated inside with comfortable padded chairs and booths. Nostalgic photos and such decorate the walls. The restrooms, just out the main doors as you come into the building, were clean. It was a nice touch to be offered free banana pudding as first time visitors. They even packed ours to take home! Can't wait to have it later for an afternoon snack. All the other diners were local, but we were treated as well as the staff's well known friends! A cozy home-style restaurant which serves up memories of times before fast food when life was more simple and less stressed.

The little caf with a big heart
Take the 10 minutes to drive off the interstate and you wonât be disappointed. The menu isnât complete- we asked for fried green tomatoes which werenât listed and they were delicious! Bacon cheeseburgers and buffalo chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries fantastic. My picky daughter said the best food ever. Our only regret is we donât live closer so we could eat here more often.

I'm always on the lookout for good barbecue. My husband and I went here based on the good reviews. My husband got a pulled pork plate with coleslaw and baked beans, oh and Texas toast. He was satisfied with his meal. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich on Texas toast with fries. My bbq was good, however, it probably would have been better on a bun, because the toast was very greasy. My fries were lukewarm at best. We went between lunch and dinner so the restaurant was empty.Thank you for the review, the lukewarm fries are uncalled for, and I apologize. We used to use buns but customer base led us to the Texas toast, we butter and toast them on flat top. Hope to see you back

Gone here many a times. The burgers are big and tasty. But I really recommend the milk shakes. Made with real cherries or whatever you want. Guaranteed to cause a sugar high. Donât ask about the calories but the food is great.

Stopped at a winery off i10 on way home from Mississippi and clerk at the winery suggested this restaurant for lunch. This restaurant is down a side street off 90. The service and food was excellent.
