Full service bakery and deli. Imported and domestic specialty liquor, beer, wine, chesses and groceries. 20 tap Growler Station. Meat, seafood and produce. Beautiful giftware and giftbaskets. House roasted coffee.
Their wine and packaged food selection is considerable, but beware of their expiration dates! I've purchased expensive cheese that was a year out of date as well as $5 a gallon milk that was outdated! (They blamed the Gurnsey milk man for that, as if he managed the store.). Their staff is unbelievably inefficient and just flat out slow and rude. The baked goods can be excellent or stale and old. After not crossing their threshold in over a year, I did stop in for a few baked goods recently. Stale, dry, and congealed lemon bars was my reward for giving them another chance. I'm DONE with their bakery/deli. Anything else I may purchase there will be because of dire need. It is just a shame because it could be a gem in the community that would draw shoppers for miles! The management is just beyond incompetent and has been for years. Very sad!

Service was great. We were seated immediately, and our waitress quickly brought us drinks and bread. Food came very quickly, and the waitress often checked to make everything was good.
I loved the food. I had the Mostaccioli Alforno (Mostaccioli with Meat Sauce baked with Mozzarella and Provolone). The portion was enormous, and could have fed at least four people. I took a lot home, and heated it up for lunch next day. Bread and garlic butter was fabulous. Salad with house dressing was delicious.
Atmosphere was very comfortable and casual.
What do I like the best? The sauce on the pasta. So sweet and so yummy.

This is my "go to" restaurant. It has been for 30 years. The service is fast, food is good, and the prices are reasonable. As a regular, I know most of the staff and many of the customers. Like going home for breakfast or lunch.

The food was tasty, though rather pricey for what it is. Our server was very friendly but not very attentive, hence the poor review.
Several orders at our table were delivered incorrectly; my dish was brought *three* times before it was correct, and by then everyone at my table had already finished their meals. Not even an offer to comp my meal or my beverage for their error....In fact, the waiter had the nerve to blame me for ordering wrong--which I did not (he even repeated it to me correctly); everyone at our table clearly heard precisely what I'd (correctly) ordered. I understand that mistakes happen, but it's terrible customer service to blame the customer for what was clearly the server's and kitchen's error.

Sagano Flint offers 14 Hibachi Style tables for at your table cooking. Our chefs will prepare your food right before your eyes. We also have a bistro side of the restaurant featuring traditional Japanese food and the best sushi around.
Sagano Japanese Bistro is, on one side a steakhouse, and the other side a full sushi bar. We had a party of thirty, and were seated at three adjacent grill tables. Ten at each table.
The choices offered were steak, chicken, or shrimp, along with vegetables, noodles, rice, soup, and salad. Combinations of steak, chicken, or shrimp are also available. Everything is prepared at the table by your own Japanese chef. It is a very entertaining experience, and the food is very good.
One word of advice, a combination dinner is plenty when shared by two people. You can order the combination at full price (approximately $24), and an extra plate for $8.95. Each person receives all side dishes, and they both split the meats ordered. This will be less expensive, and you will still have more food than you can eat.
This is a great place to go for a special evening. If you have less than ten people in your party, you will be seated with other patrons. This is not a bad thing. Who knows, you might make some new friends over dinner!

Attending a lecture at the Flint Institute of Arts and wanting something nearby we chose this downtown bar & grill. It's decor is very calming, seemingly large yet intimate. The glass entry is clean and attractive. The space is divided with the farther side seemingly being renovated though in use. The menus were given and drinks ordered and our waiter, Perry, inquired if we needed any details of the menu. He answered our questions very confidently and assured us the kitchen would have us out in time for the event. There is much to say on variety and creativity of the menu but we were interested in the pizzas. As other plates passed the table we saw very attractive dishes and wondered of our choice BUT when ours came, heads turned our direction. The large was ordered in view of taking leftovers home but we were still stunned at how enormous it was and the generous amount of meat toppings. The spicing was unique and rewarding. It was a fun meal... Besides our waiter there was another employee and the two discretely attended to our needs and when we realized we needed to leave, a box was given and the bill taken care of and we were on time.
I just had a slice with fried egg for breakfast and it was wonderful again. This eatery is really good, staff very attentive and the decor refreshing. (If it's a cold or windy day, sit away from the entry. Michiganders have a habit of finishing greetings w/the door open and cold winds came in at times.)

Big John's is always a good place to get a steak and onion sandwich at. They also have Ruben sandwiches, Turkey sandwiches. This is a fast food place, but it's always a clean andn friendly place to eat.

For having been open for twelve years(according to waiter), this place definitely needs some cleaning up! They could not shut the window shades by booth to block out sun, because they were damaged, could not close. The complimentary bread? basket brought out (wicker) had old food stuck in bottom(covered up with paper liner. My dinner menu had food smeared on it. The men,s restroom definitely lacked cleaning. Dinner for both of us was only luke warm and unappetizing at best. Whenever a newly visited establish, such as this lacks sanitizied conditions, it is always the last visit.......

Came here because I had a gift card. The food was good. We had an olive burger and a drunken mushroom burger. We tried fries and sweet potato fries. They had chicken tenders and salads that looked good as well. It was sort of fast food. You order at the front and they bring it to you. It was quick. The service was super friendly. Everyone there seemed like they like their job which was pleasant. Coke products was a plus.
