Visit with my girl friend to celebrate my birthday. Very friendly people. Food was wel prepared and in correct quantity. Normal and correct pricing, especially considering the fact that you are in the center of touristic Leuven.

A large restaurant on food street in the center of Leuven. The Belgian stew was delicious and you could choose a side. They had a nice beer selection and also serve their own beers. Service was average and they had English menus if you ask.

Despite the name, this is not a Greek restaurant. The proprietor gave me a longwinded explanation (which I didn't totally understand) about why the restaurant is called Mykene (evidently they have a facsimile of the great gate from ancient Mycenae?), but regardless, the menu, as they advertise in multiple languages on their front window, is Belgian.Still quite good though, with a wide selection of beers. I had lamb, which was cooked just right and very tasty. I think you'd enjoy it--one of the few restaurants in Leuven that I'd recommend.

This roomy restaurant with a delightful garden section set in the academic suburb of Heverlee, offers a traditional Belgian selection of meals. It is slightly annoying that if one person at the table takes the set menu, then the whole table must do so. It is probably related to their "unlimited-wine-with-the-menu" policy. For a set menu, the waiting time between dishes was too long, and the price too high for the kinds of dishes in that menu (an example: a crab croquette entree + a duck breast main + ice cream dessert for about 50 Euros). This is not Michelin star dining but well prepared home food.

We were doing a golf tour around Flanders with some tour operators and international journalists and finished our trip in Leuven. A vibrant student city we headed for Julia & Elias and the food was outstanding. The service was impeccable, the menu varied and the food exquisite. For sure an address to take note of.

ArenbergDeserves more than the one Michelin star Really excellent faultless meal from the amuse Buche through to the dessert. Ma,y classic dishes mentioned on the degustation menu, such as Caesar salad, cannelloni, vol au vent, peach Melba, but all given such innovative creative twists they were unrecognisable compared to their uninspired namesakes. The lovely gardens are set up for dining When weather permits, adding to the enjoyment of a wonderful evening. Staff friend, and attentive and managed a full house without seeming rushed
