Zaventem (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈzaːvəntɛm]) is a Belgian municipality in the province of Flemish Brabant. It is located in the Dijleland area, one of the three large recreational areas which together form the Groene Gordel ("Green Belt") around the Brussels-Capital Region. The municipality comprises the subdivisions or deelgemeenten of Nossegem, Sint-Stevens-Woluwe, Sterrebeek and Zaventem proper. On 1 January 2006 Zaventem had a total population of 28,651. The total area is 27.62 square kilometres (10.66 square miles), which gives a population density of 1,037 inhabitants per km². The official language is Dutch as it is within the Flemish Region. Zaventem is the home of Brussels Airport, together with neighbouring town of Diegem.

Business dinner at Da Lino last week.Very nice set up, extremely friendly staff and very client oriented. Always happy to explain dishes and connect with the client. But issue, is that food was really average. Service is very fast, you get your starters within 10 minutes after ordering and the mains a few minutes after the starters are finished. All this is gereat, but as said, food average. We were a table of 5, some of us had pasta, others meat, and none of the dishes was more than acceptable. My scalopino di vitello was overcooked and chewy. Really not the best dining experience.

Da Pépé is not the âGreat informal Italianâ I admired a few years ago unfortunately. The straightforward, no curls honest food is gone and replaced by a rather dull, tasteless version. Prices are still on the low side however. Too bad..Parking is ample in front, except on market days.

We have been eating many times at L'ossobuco because we live close by. The more we go the more we feel "a casa": paradoxically, eating 'out' at L'ossobuco is liking eating out 'a casa'!. Service is personal and friendly. The pizza's are gorgeous (my wife always goes for a pizza): thin and crispy and that unique Italian taste. If you don't go for a pizza go for the chef's recommendations: pasta, fish or meat. Last week we went and the menu was being changed so no specials of the day/week: we were advised 'why don't you go for what this restaurant stands for - Ossobuco?'. We did: succulent, try it with tagliatelle and the red wine from Puglia! For the home made dolce we had after the meal I simply have no words: if you have a sweet tooth, just try it, you won't simply like it, you will love it!Dear Jos JAnd we don't simply like your comment, we love it! There are a lot of Italian restaurants in the areas but theyâre mostly closed on Friday evening, so this is the only one we could find. We call before we came and ask for a table reservation, however, it wasnât necessary as it was empty when we got there around 8:30 pmIs a small place, once weâre seated we immediately got the menu. Friendly staff thoughThere are many to choose to, but we opt for a Parma Pizza as an entree and share. For the main dish, we both got the pasta. I had a spaghetti Frutti de Mare and Didier had a tagliatelle scampi e curry, Rosso. The serving is not big, so if you have big hungry, better to have the entree. Our pasta was really good. For a total price of 59,50⬠with half liter wine and one soft drinks, these are worthy. Good Italian restaurant not far from Parker Hotel Brussels Airport.
