Bobbing in the frothing North Atlantic, the remote, 18-piece Faroes are a picturesque patchwork of emerald pastures, dotted with sheep, gaily-hued cottages and tree-free moors. The sea is never more than three miles distant in this proud, assured land, where deep-rooted traditions remain strong. The coasts boast deep fjords, steep cliffs and looming headlands. Explore these fjords by wooden sloop or sail the coast by schooner. Walk the fells and brave the unpredictable weather to puffin spot.

Hilton Garden Inn Faroe Islands is the new international hotel in the Faroe Islands. A unique, exquisitely beautiful and modern hotel with spectacular panoramic views in serene surroundings. The Hilton Garden Inn Faroe Islands is the epitome of Nordic luxury and comfort in the Faroe Islands. Enjoy the world-renowned Hilton brighthearted hospitality, quality and services in one of the world’s smallest capitals, Tórshavn. Our on-site restaurant Hallartún features local produce and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
There was no international hotel chain in the Faroe Islands before, until Hilton Garden Inn opened in late 2020. In such circumstances, I would give them a lot of room for error before I criticize since there is zero competition but instead of being at the low end, while not being perfect it might be the single best HGI I have ever stayed in. We stayed in a junior suite; they only have one such room in the entire hotel out of 130 rooms. The room looked nice and fresh with modern design including some view of the sea and sheep nearby. I normally don't like green in the room but here it was matching well with the scenery outdoors. The only minor issue with the room was that the power plugs in the wall stopped working a couple of times during our stay and required the staff to reset the fuses. As is often the case with HGI, I found breakfast to be superior to comparable brands from other hotel chains for example Fairfield Inn by Marriott. They did not go as far as offering avocado toast from an a la carte menu, but rarely do I see half avocados in a hotel buffet so a “do it yourself” version of an avocado toast was possible, along with excellent smoked salmon. The restaurant could get very crowded at times but thankfully they had three small tables outside the restaurant and closer to the bar where we could sit and have more peace. Service was generally quite good but there was one hiccup during our stay. They missed housekeeping two consecutive days despite me specifically asking for it at reception before leaving for the day. On the second day I could see why: there was a large number of room keys scattered on a table as the hotel was preparing for the arrival of a big group so housekeeping prioritized cleaning rooms which had a check-out, rather than our room despite my request. Hotels which cater to group tours are often a negative for people who travel on their own and I guess we saw part of the consequences with the missed housekeeping. That being said, the room was great, the breakfast was above average, and without other hotel chains in Faroe I would return to HGI without hesitation.

We look forward to making your stay at Hotel Foroyar a pleasant experience worth remembering. We bring back good memories.
We are staying here as I write this. A one week trip with 2 adults and a small child. The studio room was very dusty and the floor dirty as we arrived. Rooms were cleaned daily but it was very poorly; the floor was vacuumed only when we asked it to be done (twice during the week), dirty dishes were left in the room and also didn't bring new ones. Breakfast room was very very full and no free or clean tables were available. Many times juice dispenser was out of order or the juice had run out. No coffee cups and the coffee thermos itself was also empty. Roomservice was a joke; very pricy but poorly. We ordered a salad without nuts (allergy!) and we made it very clear as we ordered. When the salad was brought into our room there were nuts in it! And also no cutlery. We called the room service and they brought a new salad, again with no cutlery. As we were again asking for cutlery the waiter said "it's coming soon". We waited for 45minutes and nothing happened! With these prices I wouldn't recommed this hotel.

Everything was excellent. The hotel, the scenery, the event. The organizers have done an excellent work and were very hospitable. The tours with a bus and a boat were amazing. We saw some unforgettable views.

Situated in the heart of Tórshavn, within walking distance of the harbour and the historical part of town, Surrounded by shops, restaurants and night life. Hotel Hafnia is the perfect setting for your stay.
Hotel Hafnia has the best location in Torshavn. The hotel is in the middle of everything. Behind the hotel they have many small traditional houses, which are made into rooms. Ideal for 3 og 4 sharing. The staff is very helpful ( like all people on the Faroe Islands. Food and service in excellent. In one the old houses they have the restaurant Katrina Christiansen, very good mix of tradional and modern foos based on local produce. Very good vibe.

Nice small hotel in the central part of Torshavn. Nice and quiet room. We missed staff in the reception. Checking in thru a small radio at the reception desk and they annonunced the code to our room. Other guests could notice/hear the code, it felt insecure.

Hotel Havgrim is informal and relaxing, with an emphasis on attention to personal service, situated in a particularly attractive and unique setting right on the shore. The house has been lovingly restored with the emphasis on preserving the original style and decor. The interior has been designed to reflect the history of the house, connecting its location with nature and the sea. Our staff are always on hand to help with any requests you may have, be it an extra pillow, a cup of coffee or a table booking for a restaurant in town. We will do our best to ensure that your stay in our beautiful, historic home is unforgettable. Havgrim is surrounded by nature and the sea and no matter what the season or weather, it is always worth a visit. Listen as the waves thunder against the rocks, the seaweed as it gently laps the shore, or the mighty surf as it rushes up to the stone wall.
I loved this place. The funkish architecture, The friendly and helpful staff and off course The outstanding view of The Bay and Nolsoy. My favorite moment was working on My labtop sitting in The Commons Living room with a panoramic view of The Ocean. The city centre is only 10 minuts walk away.

Just 2 minute Walk from Vágar Airport. 25 bedrooms, impressive view of the landscape, inhouse restaurant, 24/7 recption, free parking, free cable/wifi internet, meeting rooms accommodate 2-40.
Check in is from 14:00. We arrived at 15:45 and no room was available when we arrived. We had to sit and wait until 16:30 to get our room. When we did go to bed one of the beds was in verry poor condition. It was really worn down and was on its last legs

Kerjalon is situated in areas of natural beauty on a south facing hillside giving a panoramic and extraordinary view over the capital, Torshavn, the isle of Nolsoy and the North Atlantic Ocean.Kerjalon has 98 beds in total and meets international demands as regards security, cleanliness, environment and service.Kerjalon is equipped with most of the facilities that belong to such hostels.
I liked the hostel itself, big rooms, clean bathrooms, cozy. It is run by the Foroyar Hotel which is a very posh hotel with fantastic breakfast and dinner buffets. The hostel is in a separate building but you check in at the Foroyar. The views from the hostel are fantastic. It is located on a hilltop overlooking the city and harbor. The hostel site shows that it's 1.8 km to the city but it feels like it's much much further. It takes about 25 to 30 minutes to get down to the harbor from the hostel. I never tried to walk back up because the way is quite steep uphill. It is about $15 to take a taxi from the harbor area to the hostel. There are no restaurants other than the buffet at the hotel to eat at near the hostel. So basically you are having to go down to the city for pretty much everything. A great place if you want to be away from everything, although for me, it was a bit too far. But the hostel itself is fantastic!

is all you need... This was the best place we stayed at on our one week travel to Faroe Islands. The place is close to town, and has a beautiful ocean view. The kitchen is large and spacious, and the rooms are really nice. The house is renovated, and looks new inside.
