Have not been to Kuti's for some time, so very pleasantly surprised when we recently visited this restaurant. Lovely ambience and welcome, great speedy service, great food, great choice of dishes, and all at a reasonable price. Will return, hopefully sooner than before.... thankyou and I can also recommend the takeaway service as well as the dishes are equally as good!

Several years ago this was considered one of the best Indians in the Fareham area. However after a couple of recent disappointing visits it would seem standards have since slipped. During our latest visit both our chicken curries were partially under-cooked and tasted bland. Furthermore my onion bhajis were dry and the naan bread was overcooked. Also, my coke was flat. Like it had been poured from a left open bottle. I'm all for cost cutting, even more so in today's tough economic climate, but come on guys, don't be cheap. At least use a fresh bottle. On a more positive note our rice was good, as were our desserts (albeit still slightly frozen!) The complimentary Baileys is always a welcome touch and the service was top draw as always. Also, they have a five star hygiene rating as of August this year, which is always reassuring. That said given the recent drop in food quality we'll be going elsewhere from now on unless standards improve. Shame.

We were staying in nearby Botley, but based solely on the excellent reviews and recommendations we decided to drive the extra few miles to the 'Friends Refined' - what a great decision!!!At first sight, the menu seemed quite expensive, and compared to many Indian Restaurants it was, but cost is of course only one part of the equation, and the quality and quantity more than made up for it. Taking everything into account, including ambience and service, our meal at £60 for two, including bottle of wine, was great value for money - it was a wonderful meal, selected from a varied menu. When we're next in the area, we'll certainly visit the Fiends again.
