I stopped here because it was close to my bed and breakfast, and ended up having a terrific meal. I had Salsa Puttanesca, prepared at tableside, which I thought was interesting, and a tomato and goat cheese âsaladâ, which was more like a set of toppings on a circular cracker, but which was very good. I was fortunate enough to hit their jazz night, with a five piece live ensemble, so that was a welcome surprise as well.Dear GtaylorpdxThank you very much for sharing your comments about your experience in AlmaraJust for your informationt , we have our Jazz night , on last thursday at month. We are happy to know that our staff and our dishes has create an memorable nIght of your visit in Mexico, it was a pleasure to exceed your expectations. We hope to have the honor of having you back soon!!

The "Sopa de lima" is delightful to the highest degree. We ordered "torta de cochinita" and "tacos de cochinita" ask for double tortilla as the cochinita is very watery but delicious. Yucatan cuisine is a mouthwatering mixture of european and mexican flavors. A little bit of history will explain this strong european influence. The Yucatan peninsula was considered far from the rest of Mexico, poor roads kept the peninsula isolated , so the pollo pibil, panuchos &salbutes, poc chuc, and papadzules, were influenced by Europe, New orleans, and Cuba.

Read about this place here, on TA. So walked the Short distance from the Barcelona hotel. Was greeted soon as I walked in the door. Thankfully the waiter spoke very fluent English!!Sat at a table looking over the intersection. Great people watching. Ordered a cucumber water, 3 Pork Pastor tacos and a Beef steak torta. Delicious!!

This is a busy little local cafe, I think for lunch and breakfast especially. We each had a cafe con leche, tamales rojo con cerdo, and shared an apple strudel. The tamales were really good, as was the apple strudel. Coffee was decent, and the friendly waitress topped it up often for us. On that note, all of the staff were very friendly. I think I saw cafe de olla on the menu, but it wasn't available at the time (we were there in winter, when most places offer it). Great service and a good place to go if you want a Mexican style breakfast.

Easy walk from Zocolo area. Excellent food. We had tamales and flautas, both of which were very good. Vegetarian postole was loaded with flavorful veggies. Service was a little spotty, and it helps if you speak a little Spanish. Churros were very good, contrary to previous review. Prices are incredibly cheap for Americanos. Entire dinner for two with tip only about $15 dollars U.S. I would recommend.

The feel of a tourist restaurant....an overbearing maitre who changed once he undertood that we were fluent Spanish speakers. Tries a chile nogada, once a lifetime, meat was good. Flan was better!!!Loved the locale, untouched for years. Any restaurant that has live music is a must for us.

Timetable. Monday to Friday 1 pm to 9.30. Saturday from 2 pm to 10.00 Pm No card
This relatively cosy restaurant is in a side street and could easily be missed but thanks to some great reviews we ventured inside, mid afternoon. A very helpful waiter, Enrique translated most of the menu and we enjoyed a super steak along with some typical Argentinian delicacies. Only took cash. WiFi available. Very enjoyable.

In a beautiful colonial building in the centro histórico, this restaurant is perfect for locals and tourists alike who value good food and attentive service. Situated on two levels, there are a variety of different dining rooms, as well as a nice outdoor seating area. Food is good, priced between USD $10 and $30, and is very delicious. Try the cochinita pibil (pork), or if you're feeling especially adventurous, the escamoles (ant eggs), or Mosaico Azteca (photo) (Ant eggs, grasshoppers, and worms). The servers are attentive and very helpful in addressing any needs you may have. As for which credit cards to use, the Chase sapphire preferred and reserve (2x & 3x points per dollar respectively) are the best to use. Though the restaurant accepts amex, the amex gold would not be a good option for US based travelers, as the 4x points per dollar bonus does not apply outside the US.

We went to Terraza for dinner. The views are amazing but the restaurant is open air so if the weather is chilly, dress appropriately. The basic idea is that you pick something from the grill menu then have unlimited access to the salad bar or you can order some sides (and pay for these). We found it extremely pricey. The chicken breasts / steaks were good and served with a salsa made at your table (this was a nice touch). The salad bar isnât great though and for the price the options were random and poor.Pop by for a drink and enjoy the view.
