I rarely have takeaways, I thought I would give them a try. The Gandhi special was delightful, the portions are massive! The quality of the food is completely different from your average Indian takeaway.

Cornwallâs Finest Indian Restaurant. First Class Indian Food. Good meat. Good Vegetables. Quality spices. Freshly cooked. Friendly Service. Classy Ambiance.
My friends and I booked a table at Truro Tandoori earlier this month to mark a special occasion. We booked this particular restaurant rather than one of the other excellent Indian restaurants in Truro as my friend had recently had a superb takeaway from there. We all agreed that we won't be returning. My husband and I arrived first, a few minutes early for our 8pm booking. I gave my name to the lady behind the bar who said, 'I don't know if your table's ready - can you sit there?', pointing to a cramped seating area at the end of the bar. 15 minutes later, all 10 of us were squeezed into this area until we asked again for our table. We were then taken to our table but not given any menus or asked about drinks. At 8.30, I went back to the bar to ask for menus. At 8.45 our drinks order was taken but we were told to wait for another waiter to order food. In hindsight, I wish we had cut our losses at this point and gone elsewhere, but we didn't. My husband pointed out to the owner that we had been waiting a long time and he was dismissive, saying that it was busy and he was short staffed. No apology. To cut a very long story short, our meals finally arrived at 9.30.The food was perfectly pleasant but no better than that of our other local Indian restaurants and it certainly did not justify the astronomical prices charged. We had a poppadum with pickles, a main course, rice and two beers each and this came to £36 per head!! A bottle of Cobra cost £7 and some main courses cost £22. At the end of the evening, the owner brought us a free round of spirits to make up 'for the wait', which was a nice gesture. By this time, however, when we were all a bit fed up, were the only people left in the restaurant, had work the next day and some of us were driving, it did little to make amends. The combination of the ridiculous prices, coupled with such appallingly bad service put a real dampener on what should have been a special evening. In future, we will be more loyal to our old favourites, The Yak and Yeti and the Katmandhu.

I wished I lived nearer to the Ganges. The food here is very very good. My king prawn tandoori was absolutely mega fantastic. The service is slow but it's really worth waiting for. I have eaten in several Indian restaurants in Truro and the best I have tasted was here. Tip get here early. Well we will obviously be back

I had my first experience of this establishment last evening.I ordered Chicken Pasanda, Veg Curry (side dish) and Pilau Rice. The Pasanda was poor quality with little to no flavour at all. The veg curry was almost as bad as a tin of supermarket money saver curry. The Rice was lovely I do have to say in its defence. You are supposed to get a 10% discount upon production of their takeaway menu, this didn't happen but I wasn't unhappy to pay full price so please don't think this review is biased because of that.In conclusion.......stay away

This tradditional restaurant is tucked away up a Truro alleyway but is well worth looking for. The food was good, service was excellent, and the atmosphere and welcome was outstanding. We've been here many times in the past, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others

Probably one of the least favourite Nepalese/Indian restaurants I've visited. From the reviews I had high expectations but the food and service let this place down considerably.Service- apathetic and lacklustre.. our servers seemed genuinely uninterested in their work. Even when asking about their recommendation they didn't have a clue. For a small restaurant I'm surprised they don't pay more attention to their customers.Food - a real lack of authentic Nepalese dishes being served here. More Indian. And the food that was served was watered down and bland. We had momos and chicken pakoras to start. The momos were heavy and tasteless. The pakoras weak and anemic. For mains the Hasina chicken special wasn't great. The prawn achari was weak and lacking in pickle flavours. A real disappointment. Unfortunately this place does not get my recommendation.
