Chose Portofino as we were in Lytham and other restaurants looked busy, whereas Portofino seemed a good idea as it never seems too busy and it is a long while since we were there. Pleasant restaurant, nice menu, lots of staff.Firstly, brought the wrong colour wine, even though we stressed what we wanted. It was over-priced at £20+ for ordinary wine, served with two pints of lager rather than 1 1/12 pints. Sardines lovely, my other half liked what he described as 'lumps of lamb with pasta'. Would suggest that the crab and linguine be re-assessed, as the recipe seems to change the taste and consistency of the crab to salmon. Was assured, with a bowl of crab being brought to me, that it was crab - ok, but recipe needs to be looked at. We were studiously ignored for the next half hour or so, had to ask twice for the bill. In summary, I agree with a previous poster about the fur coat statement. Not what it used to be.

Lytham St Annes is a most unusual place. It is a small town, but it is crammed full of eating places. Restaurants and cafes are everywhere and they are always full of customers. Gusto is an Italian restaurant. The service was prompt and the food was okay. But the portions were small. I had the burger and fries which looked like burger and fries you would get anywhere else, but shrunk down a couple of sizes. I wouldn't go again. On the plus side, it was great to watch the brigade of chefs doing their own thing.Hi Talkeetnaclem,Thank you for your feedback. Im sorry to hear you weren't happy with your visit. If you would like to contact me at [email protected] to discuss further. Many thanks

A great little restaurant! Please add it.
Situated on the square with outside seating it is a nice place to relax with a tea or coffee. We only popped in while shopping so cannot comment on the food but the service was quick and friendly

Allegria, the new Family friendly Italian restaurant in Lytham St Annes. We aim to serve delicious and remarkable food and drinks.
Located on the main square in Lytham St Annes. Met my bestie here for dinner, booked in advance. A very warm welcome from all the staff and felt nice to be expected. My friend was late however the staff checked on me at intervals until she arrived which was a lovely touch.Restaurant was quite busy for a Thursday evening. Plenty of choice on the menu and fair and honest prices. Extensive choice of garlic breads which was nice and had not seen such a vast choice before - ordered two different ones to share that tasted lovely.Main courses were very tasty and plentiful. Well presented and very filling.A very nice restaurant - thoroughly enjoyed my evening and the food here with my friend. Would certainly visit again - recommended.

Loved it here. We arrived 10 minutes before our table and were told to sit and wait in the atrium upstairs. There were free tables there and my husband couldnât understand why we hadnât been seated... however I really wanted to sit downstairs so we waited. It was 10 minutes past the time of our reservation when we were seated but weâd booked for 8:30 on a Saturday night so it was understandable.Service was goodWe ended up ordering wine by the glass as we wanted both red and white- I had a glass of house white which was served cold and was dry which was good Portion sizes were good and the changes I requested to my meals were all accommodated. The affogato was the best Iâd ever had! :)

I live a minuteâs walk from Oliverâs and have been meaning to try it for ages but this was my first visit and Iâm pretty sure it wonât be the last!My friends and I were looking for something relaxed and low key and Oliverâs was perfect. When you walk in there is a really warm, cosy feel and it smells delicious! Itâs not at all fancy but itâs clean and tidy and we felt at home straight away. The food was delicious. My friend said the albondigas were the best heâd ever had and he used to live in Spain so heâs sampled a fair few! The mushrooms were lovely too and served with a generous amount of bread for mopping up! The pizzas were really good too and we followed them up with ice-cream. Can highly recommend the toasted coconut! We brought our own wine and the bill came to £54 for three courses each for three people. It felt like amazing value! I also loved the music - some Brazilian favourites that I usually only hear at home!! Will definitely be back soon!
