Reviews on Italian food in Darlington, England, United Kingdom. Darlington is a large market town in County Durham, in North East England. With a population of 92,363 in 2011, the town lies on the River Skerne, a tributary of the River Tees. The town is administered as part of the Borough of Darlington. The town owes much of its development to the influence of local Quaker families in the Georgian and Victorian era, and who provided much of the finance and vision in creating the Stockton and Darlington Railway, the world's first steam locomotive powered, permanent passenger railway. The town is often colloquially referred to as 'Darlo'.

Thankfully the cost wasn't ridiculous on this occasion due to the Meerkat Meals offer. Our server was a very nice gentleman who was helpful and attentive. That was the only positive aspect to our visit. The calamari starter was about average - nothing special.Lemon & herb chicken wings starter was, again, averageMy wife and I normally pick different mains in case one isn't great. Unfortunately on this occasion we picked the same thing - Calabrese pizza. We both went for it as we really enjoy N'Duja. We agreed this pizza was poor.

Just visited for an early teatime birthday treat. Four adults and two children. We opted for the two courses for £10. Very tasty, reasonable portions. Overall good value. No children's menu but it didn't really matter as chose off our menu and managed to eat most of it. Will defiantly visit again. It was quiet but it was 5pm on a Tuesday so not that surprising.Thank you so much Angela! We do do chicken nuggets for children but find most children like to order pizza/pasta and just get a smaller portion Glad you enjoyed it and hope to see you again soon!

At Bella Italia, we find tradition and we treasure it. We're passionate about bringing you a true taste of Italy, so you can experience the love, food, and magic of this amazing country first-hand in our restaurants.
We visited Bella to celebrate a 14th birthday. The menu was good, the food was delicious, they were very helpful with dietary requirements as one member of our group couldn't have gluten or diary. We were served by Paula who was very helpful and arrange for a candle and "Happy Birthday" song for the birthday boy.

We havenât been since the refurbishment but used to come regular for Sunday lunch and always enjoyed it. Todayâs was very disappointing, the meat was tough the lamb, turkey and even the gammon. The selection of vegetables isnât as good as it used to be either. Couldnât cut the parsnips as they were hard too. For the price you pay and the time you have to queue this really isnât worth it and we wonât be back!

Very busy and popular and highly recommended however we found very slow order was wrong and when quiered staff argued back rather than customer always right food was tasty but service not. Maybe a bad day doubt we will go back but worth a try if passing. Hi,Thank you for your review and feedback on your visit. We are sorry to here about the service you received on your visit. We were a group of 7 and all ordered different meals. We decided to have 3 courses each as it seemed excellent value for money. My starter of spicy fishcakes were delicious, followed by chicken diablito which was a generous portion served with salad and three-times cooked chips. Not sure how I managed the sticky toffee pudding and ice cream but glad I did as it was excellent. We were all very impressed with the quality of food and will certainly come again.

Neopolitian wood fired pizzeria & Enoteca serving classic and modern style fresh pizza, fried antipasti, salads & homemade desserts . Winner, Best Pizzeria English Italian Awards 2018 Gold, Best Pizzeria PAPA Awards 2018.
Wonderful evening from start to finish, we were greeted promptly and seated by our lovely server, the menu was large with lots to choose from. I was offered to try their Italian Lemonade which was very tasty and complemented my meal well. The decor is refreshing and it was nice to be able to see the large pizza oven. Their pizza is second to none, all ingredients were so fresh and tasty. Would definitely visit again!
