We visited for the second time and werenât disappointed. The menu was wide and varied and the waitress was friendly, professional and attentive without being over bearing. There was a good atmosphere and the pub was constantly busy but we didât feel rushed and after 3 hours we were politely asked to move to the bar, as our table was needed. We didnât mind at all and when we left at 5pm the pub was still packed. Would recommend a visit.

We had not visited The Grumpy Mole for a few years as had had a couple of disappointing meals. However, thought we would give it a chance and were very pleasantly surprised!Excellent service from our waitress and a very good menu.Both our meals were excellent....especially the steak and kidney pudding!!Lovely setting and easy parking. Will certainly return again.

Very generous portions of meat. The roast beef was tender and cooked to perfection. Roast chicken with stuffing was spot on and the pork belly was excellent. Yorkshire puddings are home made, huge and delicious. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit if roasts are your thing! Very generous portions of meat. The roast beef was tender and cooked to perfection. Roast chicken with stuffing was spot on and the pork belly was excellent. Had a thoroughly enjoyable evening on Friday night with a couple of friends. All of our meals were good (I particularly enjoyed my burger), Our waitress was attentive without being overbearing and she was friendly. This pub will always have a special place in my heart. First date venue for me and my boyfriend 9 years ago. We have re-visited numerous times since, however our latest time, just a quick Saturday lunch was disappointing.
