Contemporary Mediterranean Bar/Restaurant serving a wide selection of Italian/Spanish Cuisine, Chilled Beers, Wines and Spirits with an extensive collection of gins!
Use to love this restaurant before it changed hands probably over the years worked our way through the menu. On entering today the barman was so busy talking to his friend we wasnât even acknowledged, sat at a table upstairs and ordered drinks and food, 10 minutes after ordering the drinks they still hadnât arrived even though bar was empty. Asked a pleasant young lady and she went and got our drinks. When the food arrived the pizza my partner ordered was just ok. My ravioli was covered in a thick cheese sauce which tasted of flour obviously pre made and thickened. The garlic pizza bread was so hard and very little garlic on there. When we complained we were advised they would let the chef know nothing offered off the bill even thoughThe garlic bread wasnât touched No black pepper offered which in an Italian I find hard to believe. Wonât be back, there are lots of good places to eat in Kirby this sadly isnât one of them anymoreHello, we are so sorry you didn't have a positive experience with us. We are going through some changes here at Avanti and will be addressing the issues you have raised. We really hope you will give us another try again soon. All the best and thank you for your feedback.

My husband and I have recently had the pleasure of visiting The Traddock for the 5th time, staying at the hotel based on their Yorkshire Gourmet break. A six course taster menu the first evening followed by a 3 course meal the second evening. This gave us the opportunity to try a number of wonderful dishes. The flavours, textures & presentation spot on. We enjoy sampling the canapes in the bar, trying delicious homemade bread with lovely butter ( lamb flavour was available this time) followed by excellent starters, mains & desserts. The portions are not large but perfectly formed! It's our interpretation of 'Fine Dining' but appreciate others won't agree. As I said it's all subjective.

Wanted a night away somewhere special without paying stupidly high prices and certainly found a great place here for DBB. Warm welcome. Bedroom well equipped and comfortable with nice touches such as bottled water/herbal teas and biscuits. Dinner had an excellent menu with service and food to match. Breakfast was equally great. Due to the lack of parking in Kirkby you do have to park a couple of minutes walk away but they give you a card for free parking while you stay there. They also offered to bring our bag in from the car when we popped to pick the parking card up before going to the car park. Definitely want to go back! Could anything be improved? Perhaps have reading lights available in the bedrooms.Thank you for leaving us a review on Tripadvisor. We are so pleased you enjoyed our stay with us. We appreciate your comments as this is how we can improve our product and service. We hope you will visit us again soon.Warmest regards Alex

The Lunesdale Arms is a well established pub in a stunning area of Lancashire. With excellent food and fantastic ales and wines, we are a popular venue for both lunch and dinner.
We last went to the Lunesdale Arms a few years ago and didn't like it very much. However we'd heard it had re-opened under new management so we decided to give it a go for lunch, and we were so glad that we did - it's now absolutely excellent! It's a lovely bright building divided into a number of smaller areas. The first thing you notice is the artworks scattered around, all of them interesting but not dominating the space. We sat at the far end of the room - the manager kindly turned down the volume of the music and we were very comfortable. It was immediately noticeable that a lot of attention had been paid to the little details - really elegant cutlery, for example, and nice napkins. Service was friendly and attentive, with good guidance of the menu. The menu is quite small, but with a great deal of interesting dishes. I had a chicken and chorizo sandwich on toasted ciabatta - absolutely excellent, with tangy chorizo, home-made bread and tasy fries. Friends had a couple of the small dishes - arancini and lamb koftas - which were also delicious. The wine list was also good - it's the first time I've seen a Greek wine on a wine list locally, and there was also a good range of unusual Italian reds. The only thing missing, perhaps, was a dessert wine. The desserts looked yummy but waistlines forbad them.All-in-all, it was an excellent meal in lovely surroundings and very, very good value. We shall certainly be back!

Welcome to The Game Cock Inn a Traditional Yorkshire Dales pub, restaurant and B&B with a cosy bar, real fire, award winning restaurant, delicious food with a French twist and comfortable, quality accommodation.
We visted the pub initially just for dinner. The food was excellentwith a modern, fusion twist. The service was fantastic, the chef even came to speak to us to ask if everything was ok. After dinner we intended to have just one drink but because of such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere we ended up being the last customers leaving. I would highly recommend it and certainly visit again.

We went for lunch and enjoyed a tasting menu plus the wine pairing. Each course was perfectly cooked, and we particularly enjoyed the sourdough. The waiting staff were attentive and the wine pairings reasonably priced. We enjoyed coffee in the beautiful garden afterwards. Overall, the experience was excellent. We will definitely be back when next time we will combine dinner with an overnight stay.
