It is not your âtypicalâ Chinese restaurant.Food is excellent, tasty and reasonably priced, our meal for 2, with wine and teas, £65.Decor, cleanliness, and ambiance will not be to all tastes, it is rather basic. More of a take away with tables, than a restaurant that serves take aways.Staff are friendly, although not very attentive, in so far as we had to ask 3 times for a jug of water. There is space for 10 tables, and I would hope the debris on the floor was from earlier on in the evening, rather than a previous day? Would definitely return for a take away.

After Tim Ley went to just fish and chips the (Codfather) although it was ok our family and myself and so happy they are back to their original! No other place to get your take away i Burgess HIll will beat this place :D

We have been using the Chifoo chinese Takeaway in Burgess Hill for ages. With at least four others to choose from in the town and having tested the others this one comes top for tastiness, friendliness and a timely delivery service. Collection of your telephone order is also available. The menu has a great variety and our favourites are the duck dishes and sweet and sour Hong Kong style. Pricing is good value and we always have leftovers for a snack another day!

Opted to choose the next town on as Haywards heath takeaways aren't that great, this one wasn't much better.Starters were good but the mains were poor.Very tasteless and the prawns were most definitely not fresh, poor rice and noddles at least the dog liked the leftovers!

Ordered a take-away as full of cold so didn't want to cook. They do not deliver so a family member collected it. We had half crispy duck, which was pre cut into small slices (not shredded) and didn't appear to be much of it for half a duck, lots of crispy fried fat/skin and not much decent meat. The crispy chilli shredded beef was ok (nothing special and had better) the Singapore noodles were dreadful as they had used the fat noodles instead of the vermicelli noodles and there was so much curry powder used it made our lips burn! We threw most of them in the bin. I would not order food from this take away again.

Me and my family decided we wanted to give a take away in burgess hill we had never tried before, we always used to go to Tim Ley but since they have recently turned into just fish and chip shop we very rarely go there now. The chicken won tons well if you can call them that, tiny piece of something wrapped in pastry didn't taste like chicken and didn't look it either. £4.80 for basically nothing rip off! The rest of the food our whole family was unwell almost straight after consuming our meals. We will not return and i don't know if its just us but they have doors between their reception area and the kitchen. So everything is literally done behind closed doors just looks awfully suspicious to us when we arrived to collect our phone order. Also was not a cheap take away for us. We miss Tim Ley so much they were the best their fish and chips is ok but we do miss their chinease.

We decided to visit this restaurant after wanting to find a good Chinese for a while and after reading so many positive reviews gave it a go. The service is friendly and excellent and the decor is absolutely fine too. The prawn crackers arrived the minute we sat down as did our drinks once ordered. The starter was lovely and we both commented on the freshness and home-made quality of the starters. I ordered sweet and sour pork and my husband ordered shredded chilli chicken. To be completely honest we could not tell which was which, they both looked the same and practically tasted the same which was a pity. The egg fried rice was lovely and the singapore rice noodles that were supposed to come with a kick to them were bland. The food was okay, nothing to rave about, but if one's aim was to get some Chinese in them and leave it at that, this restaurant would tick your boxes if you were looking for an amazing chinese I would not say this is it, but the service is excellent and the staff were very friendly. Out of all our recent experiences of Chinese restaurants this is one of the better ones!
