I've been here twice now. Twice it's been very slap dash, food that is really not enough to drag you back and very expensive for a average cafe.I had ordered a simple sausage sandwich the first time. I wasn't asked if I wanted it toasted. It came out not just toasted, but without butter- so a very dry, sandpaper like experience. Not pleasant.Coffee is fine, bit OTT on the foam of cappuccino and not much actual coffee. Portions for kids are measly, and don't include a drink.

"British pork and onion sausage, free range egg, hollandaise style sauce and smoked British streaky bacon in a soft bloomer bread." was pretty tasty but not that large. Americano (choice of full cream or semi-skimmed) was to the usual standard. £5.60 Quite busy and noisy especially because of the coffee machine. Outside seating available.
Modern building . Cafe for snacks breakfast tea coffee..open plan seating ..library .. cloakrooms..plenty free parking .. busy with local residents kids parents TV ..very well managed..library has computers..FBC ..FULL BLOOD COUNT ..
Light and airy rather than cosy atmosphere. Has outdoor tables which should be pleasant in the summer but the busy road in front os off putting.

Stopped in for a coffee- coffee was good - toilet visit wasnât. Not quite sure when they were last cleaned - maybe about the time of the Tudors (or turders). We are glad that you enjoyed the Coffee and are sorry that the toilet facilities were sub par on the day. We endeavour to clean these at the end of the day we will look at the possibility of greater frequency. Hope to see you soon. Thanks GS

Our Lounge is home from home, serving food all day everyday!
Upon our arrival we found a table to seat our group of 7, but needed to clear all the dirty plates onto another table piled high with even more dirty plates and glasses. It was incredibly hot, stuffy and humid, it was stifling, so we asked a staff member if the door could be opened a little to allow some fresh air in, but she insisted that opening the door would make her very ill (it was very mild outside at 17 degrees) The food was finally served, but was of a very poor standard, the garlic bread was burnt and over cooked, the jambalaya was barely warm, the fish finger sandwich was warm but exceedingly dry. We were all disappointed, this is the fourth time we have had an unacceptable experience and we will certainly not be returning. This was once our favourite place to eat, it is such a shame that standards have dropped so dramatically. We will not be returning.Despite sending an email, I did not receive a reply.Hi Sue,Thank you for emailing the Lounge with the details of your visit, as explained we cannot always control the temperature of the lounge when there is inclement weather but we do our best to ensure all of our guests are comfortable.A discussed over email I do hope that you will visit us again.Kind RegardsClaire
