Nestled atop the charming Guildford High Street, Amor Amora is a tranquil independent cafe that offers customers a unique, idyllic experience and Mediterranean cuisine of the highest quality. We pride ourselves with only serving organic or locally-sourced
I don't go to Guildford often but four of us meet every so often. This is the second time we have lunched here and we were not disappointed. The ciabatta was delicious, complemented by a glass of wine and coffee afterwards. It is not a big place, but there is an upstairs, and in the summer, a terrace. Expensive? We had a bottle of wine, four lunches and four coffees that cost us just under £15 each, so be your own judge of that. Very nice décor, themed on birds and mice! They are having a special event soon, I think to try a different menu or something. If you are interested it might be worth giving them a ring.Opposite Ryman's. Frontage is quite small so easy to miss.

I went here earlier today with a friend to take on there mega challenge.my friend had a regular breakfast (picture 2) which he said was extremely tasty very hot well cooked and a good price. My mega breakfast challenge was awesome everything was well cooked very tasty and what a challenge although I did not finish it.The staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our visit and the place itself when we arrived at 1 p.m. was very busy.I would certainly recommend a visit to this place just a 10 minute walk from Guildford station via a pathway.

A cafe / restaurant at the top of Newlands Corner with stunning views over the South Downs. All food made daily on the premises from high quality and where possible locally sourced ingredients.
Came here at 10.30am for brunch and were extremely lucky to get a table as all others were either full or reserved. Went for the Vegetarian Breakfast (2 poached eggs, halloumi, avocado, cooked tomato, baked beans, and toast). I asked to swap the mushroom for extra beans which they kindly let me do. It was very nice and filling and the eggs were cooked perfectly, but felt a bit pricey at £10 which seems quite a lot compared to other places. The cakes looked incredible - huge and beautifully decorated, so think we'll come back for tea and cake another time !There is a carpark, but it is not monitored so I think many people park here for a walk as its free and the Newlands Corner carpark opposite now charge, so it can get very busy and difficult to park.

Returned for dinner on a Saturday evening. Great, friendly service and delicious imaginative food (washed down with very acceptable wines!). Excellent value. We are very lucky to have this gem of a cafe/restaurant in Bookham and it deserves to be successful. We will be back!Hi, wow, thank you so so much for your amazing review! Stopped here for breakfast on a visit to the area. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Service was better than I have had in some up-market restaurants. I even noted that the manager went out of his way to help an elderly man to his seat and took the time to actually speak to him and see how he was. If only more places were to do this! Now to the food. It was good, but could have been better. I wasnât taken by the sausages, seemed a bit cheap and small. Nice black pudding, good bacon, eggs, toast, mushrooms. Hash browns were also a bit cheapo and the plate was a bit swamped in beans. My biggest gripe is the tomato sauce, if what came out of the bottle has ever seen a tomato then Iâm a monster from Mars with 3 heads.

The Tea Shop provides fresh, English seasonal food made on the premises and served by our friendly staff. The Welsh rarebit is what we are famous for, but we also offer a selection of homemade soups, sandwiches and salads. Check out the daily specials on
Having browsed the lovely gift shop here, I met a friend and we had lunch in the café. Unfortunately it was very busy, probably not unusual in the summer, and the noise level was high, so chatting was difficult. Not helped by a hard floor, hard wooden chairs and tables, hard walls, nothing to absorb the sound - this is all too common, so not just a problem here. We chose the speciality Welsh Rarebit, which certainly was delicious, followed by good large mugs of coffee. Looking up at a high window, I noticed that it was completely covered in cobwebs - not too good, a long feather duster was all that was needed. Oh and there was no toilet paper at all in the Ladies. Probably will return but a bit of a mixed experience.

Cafe/restaurant in gorgeous, tucked away location off Guildford high street. Serving fresh and delicious home cooked food with generous portions. Inside and outside seating.
Just a fleeting visit - our first one to the Gallery Café - and we loved the location and the ambiance. A sunny, secluded courtyard very well appointed. Emma looked after us very well - thank you - and our coffee and cake were just what the doctor ordered. We'll definitely be back!Thank you very much! We look forward to seeing you again
