ok nice to have part of our family hear it is a wet day and to save Eve my wife cooking we thought Fish and Chips for dinner of to the Fish and Chip Shop for some good old Fish and Chips must say they are EXCELLENT

Like many, fish and chip supper is an expensive treat, but as we had the grandchildren for a sleepover they were very excited that we had planned for a fish and chip supper whilst watching Paddington. I was really disappointed when my husband returned with them and honestly, if the children weren't excitedly waiting for them I'd have taken them back. The chips looked and tasted as though they had been heated up so often they had just let them go hard and cold and dipped them back into the fat when ordered. The fish however was nice. Such a shame that for the sake of cooking up a fresh batch leading to satisfied customers they have lost my custom for good. Obviously no pride in their product or they wouldn't have served them. They were so very obviously not fit for purpose. Should have taken local advice and gone to Baxtors!

We've used this chippy several times and have always been please with the quality and the service.However. We will never set foot in the place again. My wife went in to buy sausage and chips for my supper. Handed over a five pound note and received her change. She then questioned why she had been given an old pound coin. The owner then accused her of cheating him out of said pound. We are lucky enough not to have to worry too much about the odd pound or so. But it's the principle. They're loss as we are a large family and we now use other chip shops. Hi Donutbbk,This is very disappointing and I recall this moment. It was an unfortunate encounter as I was called by the member of staff serving your wife, she had said she received an old pound coin from her, I stepped in and stated I will check cctv to see if this occurred and will contact her if this was the case. This wasnât the case so the matter was resolved. Itâs a shame your wife/any customer had to go through with this and hope you can reconsider trying us again.

Seriously I can't understand the positive reviews. Really one of the worst fish and chip shops I have been to. Awful greasy chips that taste of cheap overused cooking oil. Truly horrible.

We enjoyed our coffee this morning in this beautiful shop. After having our lattes we had a leisurely wander around the adjoining florist and gift shop...beautiful Easter decorations in at the moment along with many cards and gifts. In the actual coffee shop there is an extensive menu of sweet and savoury snacks and lunches plus a wide range of teas coffees and delicious smoothies. Can't wait to visit again.

Lovely welcome on a very hot day. Perfect cold soft drinks and Spam fritter,Spring Roll,Pineapple Fritter.Chicken and mushroom pie tasty, perfect. Chips best ever.Very clean. All on one level.Eat in and takeaway. Parking opposite. On bus route.Very welcoming. What lovely people and wow food.

Hubby grew up in Spalding and took me out for the night to celebrate my birthday. Told me if we were going to have dinner then it would have to be 'Sheddys'!!It was late when we got there on the Saturday night and we were the only ones in the restaurant but the fish and chips were excellent.
