Went here as a last minute choice, as Iâd only arrived on the Isle of Wight a couple hours before to visit my son. Parking is a little bit of a pain but itâs expected especially in the summer. Restaurant accommodated even though they were pretty full and we had no reservation. Service was excellent no faults what so ever. Inside clean and tidy and cosy! Menu was great, but we choose from the set menu. Good price and for a set menu good choices to cater for most, normally I find I canât pick anything from a set menu. Food came out looking good, massive portions all with a choice of your side. We also ordered the garlic bread with cheese which was lush. My son had the carbonara he loved it and I had the lasagne, my only criticism was the meat in the lasagne was good quality it just lacked flavour, Iâm a lasagne fanatic so I know my flavours. But other than that everything was spot on!

Makkieâs is a small, clean and friendly Italian pizzeria in Shanklin. Everything is freshly made and you can watch the chefs flip the pizza in the open kitchen. It is the nicest pasta and pizza weâve had in a long time. The dough is incredible! I donât like cheese and it was no problem to accommodate me - my garlic bread with oil and olives was delicious! We couldnât believe how reasonably priced it was for the quality. A pizza, salad, pasta dish, garlic bread and drink was £27! Portion sizes were huge and service excellent. Highly recommend!

Dropped in Bank Holiday Monday during day trip to IoW, so glad we did. Good menu with variety of tasty choices, asked for childrenâs menu for my daughter but she fancied the Lasagne from the main menu - took our waitress seconds to check with Chef that they could do a childrenâs portion no problem. Really good food, & excellent service throughout from both waitresses & waiter who served us. Nice decor & good value too !Would really recommend this place to any couple or family looking for a nice all round meal.

I highly recommend this restaurant. Food is wonderful and reasonably priced. We stayed in Shanklin for a week and were so impressed that we ate at Pavarottiâs 3 times. Youâll need to book, itâs usually busy, but we simply decided on the day and phoned to book during the afternoon. Eat downstairs for the best atmosphere.

We called without reservation, early (6pm) on a Thursday evening. It was clear that they had a lot of bookings, but found us a table. Everything was great; service, food and drink. Garlic bread starter was tasty. My main, piglet leg in peppers both looked and tasted wonderful. My wife had the sea bass, this was the same. For desert we had pannacotta and chocolate tarte. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would return without hesitation.

Was recommended to eat here by our B&B owner who also told us to make sure we booked as it is small and usually very busy. Real old fashioned charming village pub with an italian menu comprising pizza and pasta and much more. Went for the "life changing" lasagne which was very nice and the wife had the sea bass which was served on a bed of tagiatelle also very good. Service is good and friendly staff made it a nice atmosphere for a pleasant evening.

We are a Mediterranean kitchen in the centre of Ryde offering a selection of the mediterranean region with a warm welcome.
Visited on a Saturday night with a large group of friends. The menu is varied with traditional Mediterranean meze but also Turkish pizzas. Portions are large. Food is very tasty. We particularly enjoyed the Turkish pizzas, lahmacun & mousaka. Service was excellent & the chef even threw in a few freebie sauces for our pittas. We were still there after everyone else had left & the waiters just waited for us to finish. We would definitely return. Great atmosphere too.
