Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Liverpool. Liverpool's fortunes have historically been tied to shipping. But imports and exports like sugar, spice and tobacco pale in comparison with Liverpool's most famous export of all—the Beatles. Relive the hysteria at the Beatles Story Experience, and check out Paul's childhood home, but also leave time for exploring Liverpool Cathedral and the Walker Art Gallery.

Buongiorno! Welcome to Trattoria 51, Liverpool's most authentic Italian restaurant. Located in the heart of the city's commercial district, our Old Hall Street eatery is situated in a grand Victorian building, and is surrounded by an impressive architectu
On Old Hall street, smack in the centre of the commercial district of Liverpool. Nice atmosphere, friendly attentive service and the food was not bad either! Would recommend the meatballs, tiramisu and anything including lemon! Apparently they have two more restaurants on Merseyside, on Whitechapel and in Southport

We popped in for a quick wine and beer before going elsewhere for a meal. It was fairly quiet, but a lovely atmosphere, with background music which was just that! Excellent service and chat with the waiter ...sorry ... I forgot to ask his name. We will definitely be visiting again soon ... hopefully for lunch/evening meal/wine tasting...and I do mean all 3!

Amazing food and service from Casa Italia as per usual! Although there is often a long queue (which proves just how popular it is) the queue does move quick and once in the restaurant the service is speedy and second to none! Highly recommend the baked dishes such as Tortellini alla Panna or Tortellini Italiana Thank you

Italian restauarant based on the busy and vibrant SMITHDOWN ROAD in South Liverpool, a couple of miles outside the city centre. A chilled out vibe together with exquisite culinary skills from the kitchen makes this a highly sought after location for food
Absolutely amazing night here celebrating our friendâs birthday. Made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived, gorgeous ambience and fab deals on the cocktails to get us started. Our waiter looked after us all through the night with complimentary birthday shots and a birthday cake for the birthday lady. The starters and mains were perfect (the nicest garlic bread and pasta Iâve had in a long time) and all at such a reasonable price. Look out for this hidden little independent gem on Smithdown, defo back soon. Thanks for a fab night Secret Place! X

Went for an evening meal with friends after hearing great things about this restaurant & seeing a lot of people visiting on social media. The restaurant itself inside is lovely , clean & cosy and great atmosphere. The staff were also great - very sociable & friendly. But when it came to the food we were all very disappointed. There isn't really a lot of choice for food compared to other Italians we've visited & then the quality of the food we were extremely disappointed. We got arachini & calamari for starters and the calamari was awful. The lasagne main was ok but very average , the M&S one is actually nicer. None of our party were happy with the food and we wouldn't go back. We are surprised at the amazing food reviews for this place as it wasn't our experience at all.

We have been to Bacaro before and it didnât disappoint on our return visit. They staff are very friendly and attentive, my wife has a dairy allergy and they were very prompt in producing their allergy menu. The food was delicious, particularly the Tuna Tartare and the goats cheese pearls.

Carlisi; a modern, Italian-fusion concept bar in Liverpoolâs administrative and finance district. Carlisi provideâs visitors with authentic and bold Italian flavour. Delivered fashionably with all the style and panache you associate with Italy.
Met my friend for a coffee, the place itself reminds me of typical Italian Cafe, warming and pleasant. Served by a polite person and didnât wait long for my Americano(hot) prices are cheaper than some Italian cafes, but beer/wine always seem to be a bit on the high side. I enjoyed my visit, and will definitely call in again.
