Had an hour to spare for an appointment and decided to stop off in Nantwich. This cafe is an easy find (for me somewhat random not knowing the area) from the main car park. Brilliant coffee and a proper bacon butty was a superb surprise. Wonderful staff very polite and even thanked me for returning the China ware. Lovely cafe that ticks all the boxes. I did notice for cyclists out there a drink and cake deal in the afternoons too. Highly recommended Thanks so much Graham and delighted you enjoyed 34! We popped to the food festival in Nantwich but there was a real downpour so we popped in to Residence. We had our wedding reception here 5 years ago and it was faultless and more importantly stress free. The place has had a pretty major refurb since then. We've been back many times and have always been impressed. The food is never short of outstanding. Service is always good. I had the burger with pulled pork and my Wife opted for the brunch offer of Eggs Benedict. It ain't the cheapest place in Nantwich to eat but it's worth paying the extra couple of quid for the quality. Love this place.

Last time we ate here it was pre-renovation and it was awful. An amazing change has taken place and the decor was amazing. On arrival we had drinks in the bar area. Disappointingly for the ladies, the house champagne has changed to a rather unpleasant sweet one so they chose a white wine and a Prosecco. Our table was in the conservatory extension which we did find rather noisy. I ordered fish and chips which I have to say was a little disappointing. The huge piece of moist fish was encased in batter which in parts was crisp and other parts oily and soggy. I asked for extra pea purée as I didnât want chips but the extra portion was quite small and quite liquid. The beef en croute was very good as was the chicken kebab. The staff were lovely and helpful, nothing too much trouble. We were told the next day that we should have gone to the Swan with 2 necks, the sister pub. Perhaps next time but we did enjoy the whole experience of the Boars Head.
