Cannot recommend this restaurant enough, after my first time here with friends I will defo be returning. All day brunch with a great choice of different dishes, they also cater for picky customers we all swapped different parts of the dishes around to suit our tastes! Very helpful staff and good turn around considering it was busy! Could do with a larger premises but overall great experience

We visited Tiptree tea rooms at Barleylands with friends. We had not visited here before but have been to 3 of Tiptrees other tea rooms. We chose to sit the self service side. It was messy, food on the floor, on the chairs etc, tables were not being cleaned. There was only 2 members of staff doing everything and one lady looked like she had her coat on while preparing our sandwiches behind the counter. SHe did put gloves on but her hair was all over her face and hanging down. Coffees come out of a machine, disorganised order taking, no spoons or cutlery, food not the usual Tiptree standard at all.

Small but perfectly well managed.Don't be fooled - this does not look too attractive a place to eat as you pass it, but it is good. Better than some nearby places in our view.We were in there twice recently and both times were more than happy with the service, the quality of the food and the prices charged. Biggest cappuccino in Essex - you could swim in it (almost). And a very wide menu - surprisingly for a small place We think it's good.

We visited here with another couple as they had been previously and said it had great food. We were not disappointed the food was of a high quality and lots of it. The ploughmans were a real treat with fresh bread (a wholemeal cob)brie and cheddar cheeses with tiptree pickle and salad. My wife had the avocado and mozarella sald and this was very good as well. Overall the bill came to £54 which was not too expensive for 4 lunches , two drinks each and a couple of desserts.
