We have been here a couple of times in the last 2 years and the whole experience has been great. However this Summer the food really let it down. Service was good, drinks were fab , atmosphere great but the food just wasnât as good as it use to be. The grilled chicken was over cooked on one side, the ribs lacked flavour although were really tender and the rest of the dishes just lacked that USP that it definitely use to have . Maybe we were just unlucky. Thank you for giving us your feedback, I am pleased that the service and drinks were lovely, but am sorry that the food wasn't as expected. I am not sure if you mentioned the issues at the time as we always try to rectify any problems when they arise straight away. I will let the team know your thoughts and hope to see you again in the future for a more positive experience akin to the ones you've had in the past.

Village Pub that serves traditional Pub Grub at sensible prices. Bed & breakfast available with 3 well equipped and serviced rooms.
Visited here for the first time last night as we were staying in a cottage nearby. It was such a fabulous find. The menu is excellent with something for everyone. I had lasagne and my partner had steak pie. We had cheesecake for dessert. Everything was gorgeous. The service was outstanding. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by someone behind the bar even though it was very busy. Even the chef/owner came out to check that everyone was happy. Once again tonight we decided not to go into Salcombe but to dine here instead. The sea food platter and banoffee pie were outstanding. Again fantastic service. Our dog was also made to feel so welcome and given a treat each night by the owner.Forget going into Salcombe - eat here! Fabulous!Dear Nicky, many thanks for your lovely review. We always attempt to provide a varied and tasty menu and we pleased you enjoyed your time with us. Hopefully we will see you again in the not too distant future.

Good pub grub, wholesome and reasonably priced. Great and friendly service, dog friendly, live sports in bar area and terrace to enjoy the sun. Front row seat for local regatta and firework display (book early). Amazing views from all areas and restaurant
Good atmosphere, very busy on a sunny day.Ordered some food to share with family of four and took almost an hour for the food to arrive...very poor service the staff seemed to amble out to the garden once every 5-8 minutes with food like there was only one person in the kitchen.£17 for a glass of wine, cider and 2 cokes...seemed expensive, maybe the going price in Salcombe? The food was ok but again bit pricey

THE UK's Best Craft Beer Bar 50 yards from the beach. Amazing homemade food using local produce. Awesome range of craft beers. Barista coffee, now with two floors and balcony with stunning sea views Open everyday from 10am until late.
Part of our visits to Hope Cove are the requisite crab sandwich in this restaurant. A really popular place with the countless walkers passing through. Opened up seating upstairs and if the sun is out, you can sit outside. This is the sort of place where you wish you had ordered what the people sat around you are eating.
