..lovely Local Pub With Dining Serving Fresh Food Cooked To Order From Pub Classics To Steaks & Salads
Food hot. Vegetables were red cabbage and green cabbage. Would have expected another vegetable not 2 the same. Food a long time coming and then delay between delivering to 2 people at a time so to ok a long time before we were all served. It wasn't as though the place was full. Far from it.Bill arrived, on checking we were charged for things we didn't have. we were told they had added another table to our bill.Good evening apologies for the delay in responding.I am sorry to read this review and apologise on behalf of myself and the team at the drum and monkey. We try and pride ourself in the food and have passed your review to the chef. Would you be so kind to email me on [email protected] with all your comments. Stuart Drum and monkey manager

My lady friend and I enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast at the Bristol Inn Clevedon. The food was delicious with ample portions of chicken, roast potatoes and veg and represented good value for money at £10. It is under new management and the new owners were very friendly and welcoming. The service was good and they have Sky Sports TV so I was able to watch some of the Test Match whilst eating my meal. Would recommend this venue.

Having visited mum in local nursing home thought we would pop in for tea. Ordered our food at 6.30. Around 7.00 waitress came out holding plate with burger and another plate with salmon. We were asked if this was ours and we said no we had ordered beef burger and chicken burger. Ok she said and walked away. 7.15 I asked the same waitress if she could check out where our meals were as it was quiet in there and now 45 mins since we ordered. She came back and said ours had been under the hot light as it was part of the meal they came out with at around 7. Not impressed. If it was heaving I could understand. She said our order had been put on as thee meals. Not two. Not really her fault but I expressed my disappointment and we just excepted the meal having waiting 45 mins. I canât understand how this service wasnât apologised for by a manager It was not the young waitresses fault. I guess customer service is not important to this place which is a shame. I am a Sales Manager and if anything within the company I work for goes wrong, which it obviously does sometimes, I make sure the customer knows how sorry we are. A bad review speaks volumes. I guess not all places value customers

Rang day before Motherâs Day to see if me and my dad could possibly get a table?, polite guy said had a cancellation for half 2. Later than wanted but wanted to try the carvery.I know this site is a little dated and expected a tiny cafe type experience. It was recommended by someone and I was rather impressed with the size of the place!, itâs huge!, it was obviously busy cos of Motherâs Day but got my carvery to table within 15 minutes. I was very impressed with the food quality and quantity of meat. Very good indeed I will return very soon to see what itâs like on a normal weekend. Plenty of free parking, plenty of space between tables and friendly staff and chef. Highly recommend this carvery but you need to book. Its local to me and Iâve tried all the local carveries and its up there in the top 5 ! Think it was £10 ish. Not the cheapest or the biggest plates but great quality and choice and loads of quality meat.Hello, Thank you for a kind review. Hope to see you back soon!

We rarely stray from the outstanding fish and chips unless tempted by the scampi and chips or the butchers faggots and mash. We always ask for a window table at the far end of the dining area which affords good views of the marine lake and pier.Thank you for your Review. We are always pleased to hear you have had a good experience and look forward to seeing you again.Kind RegardsGary Searle

Visited this pub with friends. I booked a week beforehand and when a member of our party arrived first they were told they had no record of the booking. I had also received a confirmation of the booking. Luckily they had a spare table and in the conservatory as I had requested. One of our party is gluten free and although there was a gluten free menu on the table, the meal chosen, which was a steak pie, they could not find them. When he was served his dessert there were shortbread biscuits as an accompaniment, not gluten free Most meals were satisfactory, nothing spectacular, but my gammon steak was vastly overcooking and tough. Had we not been with friends I would have complained. We had not met with these friends for a very long time and therefore had a lot of catching up to do, but we had to keep our eye on the time to keep feeding the parking meter in the car park. The parking charges are reimbursed by the pub. I don't like to leave negative comments, but obviously the kitchen and waiting staff need to be better trained with regard to special diets and allergies especially in view of the publicity surrounding this subject at the moment. I will have to think twice in future in visiting this pub as there are plenty of other establishments around Clevedon.Thank you for your feedback, I am sorry to hear your visit was not as enjoyable as it should have been, we try our best to have all menu items available but sometimes this is not possible. Please accept my apologies, bookings should never get over looked.

We used to come here often back in 2017/2018 but had a couple of bad meal and havenât returned. Tonight we thought we would pop in and have a quick drink whilst waiting for a takeaway from Junior Poonâs. Shocked and stunned when they charged me £6.10 for a bottle of Butcombe!!!! Now I know they have to make a living but really £6.10!!! Now I know why the Fallen Tree down the road was packed. Ps Junior Poonâs takeaway was fabulous!!Hi Mark. I would like to point out that Butcombe is one of our Guest ales. Our Guest ales never go above £4.60. If you have a discrepancy on a bill please bring it to our attention so it can be rectified. Thank you.
