Recently visited A&M Fisheries for a traditional Hull tea time snack...Patty Butty and Chips. All deep fried to a beautiful golden colour it was delicious and flattening lol. Would have given 4 stars but it's slightly on the expensive side compared to other fisheries just down the road.

It was the first time l had visited restaurant and had booked in advanced. Lynne was our waitress and was very pleasant and helpful. I had the medium haddock which was nicely cooked with a crispy batter.Took my dessert home with me as full up

Excellent fish restaurant in Humber Street at Hull Marina. Owner / staff very customer focussed. Menu majors on fresh fish and seafood and there is a lovely a la carte menu, lunchtime set menu (choice of dishes) and a specials board. Quality fresh produce and everything cooked to order - open plan kitchen with one very busy chef and assistant who coped very well with a rash of orders arriving together. Good selection of wines. Food was excellent. Service very courteous yet friendly- suffered a little bit understandably so as people arrived together as 'walk in' and therefore outside of restaurants control. Only criticism i can make is the back ground music- too loud for background and a strange eclectic mix which is probably designed to have something for everyone ?- it doesn't work- not for me anyway- maybe i just noticed it more as dining solo ? Quality and quantity does not suffer with the lunchtime weekday set menu. The mussels were excellent and table service included a wet wipe for hands and a spoon for residual sauce- very thoughtful. The salmon main course was just wonderful. An excellent fish restaurant. Sorry- one other little thing- paper napkins?? U need to move up to cotton/linen for credibility as a serious and quality fish/ seafood restaurant. A wonderful lunch truly deserving of 5 star rating. A fantastic lunch time dining experience. This quality / style of fish and seafood restaurant has been lacking in Hull for too long. I will be back for sure !

I could not recommend this chippy/restaurant anymore, you will not be disappointed. The patties are by far the best I have ever tasted and been from hull, thatâs a big deal for us Hullians. All the food is just what a chippy should be. I asked the owner how he keeps everything so beautifully tasting 100% of the time (as we have chippy once a week) and he told me that he buys everything locally (supporting local businesses as well) and that he is hands on when choosing his products... WOW! Something hardly heard of now a days. The staff are so amazingly down to earth and friendly, owners welcome you as an old friend. High hygiene standards, lovely restaurant, and perfect for grabbing a special to walk home with or take home for the family. Food is genuinely everything you want from a chippy, with well over the average portions of today. Gorgeous grub!

This is a place staff are great and food is lovely. Our waitress tonight was jade and she was friendly and as we are regulals here we love all the staff and the manager noreen is the best she runs a tight ship and we love coming here. Thank you papas for another great night.

Have read that these are really good fish & chips, finally managed to try them for the first time today. Can honestly say they were really yummy. Great value for monâ¸ey to feed my family.The chips were perfect, no bad bits like other chips shops, cooked to perfection. Will definitely be returning.Thank you for the complimentary tomato sauce, chip spice and vinegar, a great addition to our meal.
