Having not been in Loftus club for a lot of years I was pleasantly surprised by the new decor and the changes to the place( I would however change the wall colour in main corridor). Went in bar 1st, both barmaids that served me over duration of my visit were extremely friendly and welcoming, unfortunately I can't say the same for the one that was working behind the bar in the lounge were we got seated to eat. Seemed like we were interrupting her mobile phone time, and didn't seem at all happy in her work. Luckily the meal when it came was lovely, homemade chips were gorgeous and the creamy colesaw that came on the side of my lasagne was amazing. I tasted my friends parmo which I'll definately be going back to order next time. A nice menu with the usual things on made by a friendly chef, who came out at one point to see us. Hope local people support the place, I would definately recommend it if your passing

Called in on the off chance as,at the time, there was scaffolding around it and it didn't look very attractive, lovely old fashioned decor inside, friendly staff, and a good varied menu, very good value for money. Not posh food. But very nice! Will be calling back.

Has a captive market as the centre of the original smuggling hamlet. Food ordering and service is very much chain restaurant style and the coffee machine "had broken" so only instant coffee was available. The much vaunted range of real ales was disappointing and would seem to have been not kept by an experienced cellarman. Nevertheless a pewrfectly adequate refreshment stop. I was a little daunted by the table notice cautioning a 45 min to 1 hour wait for food on occassions. Enough said.

This is a large moorland Country Pub that offers dining in the pub or in the restaurant. Excellent menu and wine list, warm and friendly welcome. Four of us ate 3 delicious courses here on a midweek evening 2 bottles of wine and beer £130 staggering value
An early evening on a Tuesday in September. Hadnât been in the place in probably 25 years, but had heard some excellent comments. There were 7 of us, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Good generous tasty portions served swiftly by pleasant and efficient staff. The dining room soon became full, and the place was busy but this didnât seem to affect how quickly our meals came out. Prices were very sensible, and was all left stuffed. A popular place- we can see why!Deffo recommend.

A belated birthday meal for the 3 of us whilst away on an Easter weeks holiday. The food was absolutely superb! I had the monkfish skewers and my husband had the beef brisket! Both so fresh and delicious. Real homemade chicken nuggets went down a treat with our 9 year old. All of us had the homemade chips (the best Iâve had in a very long time). Desserts were fab, choc brownie with ice cream, lemon crunch and 2 types of Roxby jersey ice cream. A really welcoming atmosphere made it a really enjoyable evening so much so we have booked to go back!

New management team from September 2018 welcoming all in our relaxed country pub, with great locally sourced produce on our menu from business partners such as R Lyth & Son Butcher, who provides fantastic quality meats we feel proud to serve in our restau
This place is a gem. We couldnât eat there on the Saturday evening as they were fully booked but, even though they donât take bookings for the bar area as they couldnât accommodate Saturday, they booked us a table for Sunday lunch. Two really lovely guys run the place, made to feel so welcome, fuss made of my dog (with biscuits) and a freshly cooked Sunday lunch. If I lived nearby, Iâd be there weekly. Thank you, we will be back. Andrea and Bronte.
