It straddles the London to Edinburgh East Coast Main Line railway and the River Witham and is bounded to the west by the A1 main north–south trunk road. Grantham lies about 23 miles (37 km) south of the county town of Lincoln, and about 22 miles (35 km) east of Nottingham. What a great take away...!I suggested this Indian takeaway to Trip Advisor after I couldn't find it listed? We have had several takeaways from the Saagar Indian over the last few years and the food has always been excellent.We normally order the following...Plain naan £1.90Onion bhaji (x2) £2.60Mushroom bhaji £2.90Gobi bhaji (cauliflower) £2.90Lamb biryani £6.90Chicken makhani £6.20Chicken tikka (not on the bone) £5.75Best jalfrezi £5.40Plain rice £1.90Total: £36.45The thing that I really love about this place is the quality of the food and the size of the onion bhaji's... We have never had a bad dish from the Saagar Indian take away, they are certinally generious with regards to their portion sizes, and there is more than enough food with what we order to feed four adults with a little food left over if any one wanted to go back for seconds...The only issue would be that they only accept cash!The service is pleasant and welcoming, the wait tends to be about 30 to 40 minutes give or take so overall the price is really reasonable, generious amount of food, as I said they are not stingy and the wait is really reasonable. I would highly recommend this Indian take away, in my opinion it's better than the Calcutta Brasserie in Stony Stratford especially for value and portion size! Will deafinatly be ordering again.

Friends took us for a reunion. The food was great, the atmosphere cosy, fun and friendly. So many unusual dishes, embracing vegetarian, vegan and the meat eaters, great fish menu too. We were lucky to be served a traditional dessert which was very tasty. Highly recommend a visit if you like all things Indianthank you very much

First ever Indian takeaway, ordered ahead of time online, was ready a couple of minutes after I walked through the door. Food traveled well, was hot and one of the best Lamb Pasanda's I've had recently. You can also eat in, basic surroundings but friendly staff. We will be back.

I have spent time in Nepal so this had a bar to be met and it was a bar that was surpassed. Service was excellent: we were attended to in a friendly and timely way. The food was exceptional. The last time I had Momos was in sight of Mount Everest and despite being in the heart of Grantham, the experience was comparable. The curries, whilst you could question their appearance on an authentic Nepalese menu, were superb!! Very highly recommended!!!

Just finished a great meal, had the dumplings for starter and was not disappointed. For main I tried the lamb stew very rich but very tasty. All food was popping hot and full of flavours. Great portions. The mango chutney is best Iâve had. Great service 30 people in at present in a Wednesday tells itâs own story.
