This traditional village pub dates back to the 15th century with our snug area dating back to 1107! Legend has it, that the original building was used as accommodation for the monks that built Iden church. We have two delightful letting rooms, separate to
We stayed in the two garden rooms with our teenage children. We couldn't have had a warmer or friendlier welcome. The pub is a great village place, dating back centuries with a light, airy dining room in a later addition. We felt at home and had drinks in the garden before dinner which was tasty, locally sourced and honest food. The breakfast in the morning was actually the highlight - the cooked breakfast was fresh, well-cooked and just the right amount of food. The rooms themselves are large, comfortable and well worth the money.

A traditional country pub built in 1500,with its beamed ceilings and flagstone floors all adding to its charm. Our Candle lit dining room creates the perfect ambience to allow you to enjoy our freshly prepared food ranging from Salt & pepper battered squi
Looking forward to our lunch we were greeted with "we have no bitter" Have been here many times and have watched it recently slide away. They no longer serve their excellent meat pies and the menu is a bit bland. We had fish and chips on the basis that you can't spoil fish and chips but were wrong. The fish was bland and the batter very light. Chips a disappointment too. A pity as we used to like the pub but won't be going back again.

We stopped here this evening for dinner and we werenât disappointed. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. We had homemade scotch egg and calamari for starters. My husband said the egg was one of the best he had tasted! Main course we choose sea bass filets with scallop and prawn sauce and rib eye steak, absolutely delicious. Steak cooked perfectly medium rare. Canât wait for a return visit and a possible overnight stay as they have rooms too. Hi, thanks so much for your very kind review. We're glad you decided to stop here and pleased you enjoyed your dinner. Fresh ingredients cooked to order - locally sourced wherever possible. We love whatever is in season!
The Three Chimneys is an atmospheric pub with very good food. Sadly, the overnight rooms have extremely thin walls & our neighbours in the room next to Partridge are - presumably unwittingly - sharing with us both their musical taste & their views on life, the universe & everything. Not what you expect in a place that charges this much. If, like us, you seek a peaceful country idyll, avoid Three Chimneys as a place to stay

Terrific pub with terrific food. Five of us had a very tasty Sunday lunch here. The interior of the pub is warm, welcoming and traditional with a splash of modern. Service was delightful - very quick and very helpful with the landlady coming over personally at the end of the meal to introduce herself. Great range of Sunday Lunch options that was of a very high standard with generous portions of meat, roast potatoes and stack of lovely fresh veg. Good wines and very l well kept pints of Master Brew. Everything was very fairly priced and quality was not compromised. In such a beautiful village this place is ideal for a visit by anyone of all ages. Thank you very much.

The newest addition to the Elite Pub group. Opening in September 2019.
The fish-based sharing plate was wonderful. Hot fish cakes, prawn skewers, shallot slices & squid fingers, crisp & definitely perfectly & freshly cooked, plus pickled herring & gravlax, with good salad leaves plus pickled Japanese radish, beetroot (2 sorts) & samphire. Avocado cream in a pot - not sure where it fitted in really - & 2 hunks of OK bread. Three of an item makes sharing tricky we noticed. Then the game pie - not quite so successful as rather too salty for our taste. But good mix of meats & nicely browned piped potato top. The greens - outer Savoy leaves (?) & kale - were a bit too chewy. Very generous amount of food all round.A lot of menu items contained chilli or heat so felt a bit restricted in my choice.Huge marked-out car park. Good beers. We appreciate you taking time to review and will pass on your comments to the team.
