Visited for Sunday lunch. Arrived at 12.30 to find the car park already full! Walked in to the 'restaurant' area (more like a diner, absolutely crammed with tables) to find that almost full too. The lack of a carpeted floor meant it was extrememly noisy which wasn't good as were dining with friends. We were presented with the menus by a friendly waitress and there was so much to look at we abandoned the idea and went straight for the carvery. At £7.95 for adults and £3.95 for children with unlimited visits and the chocolate fountain for dessert, it's a wonder anyone eats at home! I've never seen a carvery quite like it; it had everything: every type of meat, every type of potatoto, every type of veg, pigs in blankets, garlic mushrooms in a creamy sauce, deep friend garlic mushrooms, onion rings, stuffing balls, - lots of yummy naughty deep fried food as well as everything you'd expect. The quality was quite good although I suspect the 'roast' potatoes had been deep fried and were hard in the middle. It was good value and everyone enjoyed it. I doubt we'd be back as it wasn't really the environment we expected for a Sunday lunch.

We happened to be driving through the area and decided to try . So glad we did ! The waiter was so friendly and attentive. We had various starters from duck pate to the black pudding. We all really enjoyed it . Two of us had the curry which was excellent! Non of that chain food you often find with bars . Another had the burger and another had the stuffed chicken . We all cleared the plates ! Highly recommend this place ! A great choice on the menu and you get excellent portions . If anyone is rating this place as terrible they seriously need to get a life ! I would recommend this place to everyone and will certainly go back again and again . Cheers guys ! You do a first class jobThank you so much for your kind feedback! See you again soon!

Young lady who served us displayed fabulous customer service which supported a perfect Sunday afternoon treat. We did expect off the bone lamb and beef however sliced lean and to perfection. Best Yorkshire puds ever, not greasy and plentiful and a lovely calm enjoyable atmosphere with the bonus of a buble song in the background. Another treat was the price, so reasonable for what we hadThank-you very much for your review regarding The Grapes! We are all very pleased that you enjoyed your Sunday lunch with us! We hope to welcome you both back very soon.Kind Regards,Sharon

A family run pub serving homemade Pub Classics, open from noon daily, serving food until 9pm Monday _ Saturday and 7.30 pm Sunday. Disabled facilities and a beer garden with parking available to the rear of the pub
Visited on a busy Thursday evening. A friendly local pub with houses nearby so be quiet as you leave! Good selection of reasonably priced meals & a good selection of beers. Servings are large and the chicken and mushroom stroganoff was well presented and pretty good. For dessert, I had to have the chocolate fudge cake which was pretty amazing.

Itâs a great place to enjoy a meal & drink with family and friends with a great range of pub food, from classic dishes to others a little different. Perfect venue for parties & other occasions. BTSport and Sky Sports on 4 screens
We booked a table for Saturday dinner - arrived on time and strangely were assigned a table in the corner of the eating area which was occupied while the the bulk of the eating area was empty. We ordered drinks which took over 10 mins to arrive. Food was ok - particularly the Cambodian street food curry. The trio of desserts was also very nice. The serving staff were very friendly and helpful.

First visit since the refurbishment, to be honest looks much the same and the menu had not changed. Had a lovely table in the sun and ordered food via the app. Served well and was tasty, will probably go back but probably not rush back.
