Have been to Chain's during the week for bar food and in the restaurant at the weekend, and can honestly say it's some of the best Asian fusion food I have ever had. Great balance of flavours and textures, with both classical dishes and others with a spin. Chef Lee has a real talented and should be someone to look out for! Thank you for coming to Hertford and bringing top notch food!

We enjoyed good service from the bartender.Sorry not to ask his name but we thought he was a great guy.We enjoyed five various cocktails which were all excellent.However we ordered chips which came in the tiniest form for around £3.95.We had eaten before at a the snug and felt it was very expensive for what you get.We would come back but just for the drinks and comfortable atmosphere.

We had heard things had greatly improved and as previous members were keen to find out with the possibility of renewing our membership. The roasts were excellent, generous portions and homemade Yorkshire puddings. The wine list was fairly small but the choices were excellent and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and welcoming. Going to try a mid week lunch time then will almost be sure to renew membershipBless you for your kindness.We have tried to cater for our members requirements which are numerous and various. As a private members club we have become used to supplying exactly what our members require. We have a regular menu, daily specials and special menu evenings.We also have a Family menu - where a group would all share the same meal and we have a pre-order menu for those things that you may just fancy trying.It sounds complicated but basically The Club will do whatever it can to make your dining experience as pleasant as possible.Goodness me! I nearly forgot Peters Pie menu - he would never forgive me. Do try one, they are beautiful and very good value. Subject to availability we have Steak and Guinness, Steak and Venison, Game, Rabbit, Pigeon, Beef and onion, Chicken and Mushroom; Chicken, Bacon and leek or Vegetarian Haggis, sweet potato and black bean pies.Lastly, and I do hope that I am not boring you by now but we have Steak nights.I guarantee you the best steak in town whenever they are available. We buy direct from the Rare Breeds Association and we hang and prepare all our own meat.We have tried around 20 breeds over the last 2 years and have a few more to try before we make our final selections.I look forward to seeing you at some of our events.Kind regards,Nic

I have eaten at the White Horse several times, and also hired the private dining room for events such as a team building event and a wake.I have consistently found the food to he of a high standard, staff friendly and helpful and it good value for money.

Stumbled across this little place, popped in and the bar staff were very friendly.They recommend the burgers. OMG! I had the homemade beef burger with cherizo and Stilton. My friend had the lamb burger with halloumi and tzaikki. The chips were unreal, coleslaw was so tasty tooWill definitely return Thank you for taking the time to post a review and photos. Our burgers really have to be tried to be believed! Itâs really nice for the chefs to have all their hard work appreciated, I will pass on your compliments
