You will get excellent food and service every time. I live locally so give them a ring for my order and it is always ready for me as requested. The jumbo fish portions are rather large but always excellent fresh fish every time. The chip portions are also large and one portion is usually enough for the two of us. believe me we both like our food! Smaller fish portions are available as are pies, sausages and much more!! They also have special meal deals.

The newly refurbished and family run Railway Inn is a relaxed family friendly pub with restaurant. Enjoy a huge range of fresh meals from beautiful and delicious sharing platters to tasty 16oz steaks on steak night with locally brewed Keltek ales. Relax o
This pub was closed for a while, and has reopened under new management. The bars have been tastefully renovated; and the staff are very friendly and helpful.I think it is in the estate of pubs owned by or tied to (not sure of the right term) the Keltec Brewery, in nearby Redruth. Whatever -- the draught beers (Keltec products when I was there) are excellent and well-kept by the cellarman. And there is a good range of other drinks, including Cornish ciders. When I went most recently it was as a family group of three to the Sunday carvery. I forget the exact price, but it was not more than £10 per head for a standard range of meats and veg. What stood out, and made this excellent value for money was the cooking. Everything was just right -- none of the soggy, overcooked veg that so often afflicts carvery food, and the meats were so tasty! When I put all these things together, I have no hesitation in saying we'll be back, and sooner rather than later.

Greg & Lou have run the business since 2002 ,Fish and Chip takeaway and Restaurant.. also offering steaks, Ribs, Gammons, Jackets. Phone orders welcome. Large carpark and quick service!
Went here for Saturday night dinner with a mate, and sat in their spacious and really clean restaurant. It’s obvious by the busy nature of the car park and takeaway booth it’s a popular place. And very quickly we saw why...Friendly service for starters, and really good value. I had Haddock & Chips, with my mate having a large Cod & Chips. Huge, nicely battered fish and unbelievably good chips. Plus the curry sauce was good too. First rate, and somewhere I’ll be venturing back to as a regular detour off the A30 when I’m next in Cornwall. What a lovely review, thank you very much. We all try are best and work together as a team and glad this is all paying off with the lovely reviews we are getting..we all appreciate when we are acknowledged and it's nice to share the lovely feedback with our staff. Thanks again Lou

We thought we would try a different takeaway this evening for a change. After reading the reviews for a few in our immediate area I stumbled across the Tung Sing which was about 4 miles away, we thought we would give it a try anyway, we were certainly not disappointed.Ordered over the phone and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes, and it was no waiting at all when we got there. It looked like a nice clean restaurant and the lady that served us was friendly. Our order was all correct, very hot and very tasty. The food was not too greasy and the level of salt was perfect for the dish.We will certainly be using them again, regardless of the distance, it's well worth the drive.
