Reviews on Fast Food food in Launceston, England, United Kingdom. Launceston west of the middle stage of the River Tamar, which constitutes almost the entire border between Cornwall and Devon. The landscape of the town is generally steep particularly at a sharp south-western knoll topped by Launceston Castle.

We would normally have gone for lunch at the Oakhampton services but they were having new windows fitted. Ordered two subs, neither of which had much in the way of fillings. Ordered two teas and they couldn’t do tea because the machine that they pushed the tea button on was busted! Had the weakest coffee ever.
did not know was here but saw sign on roadside going past Tesco, so popped in to get takeaway, great selection, shame you have to go into main store to get there, but worth it in the end

Firstly we are not generally inclined to give negative reviews or fussy about food as long as it is decent. It was Friday evening and very busy which raised my hopes in a decent take away.I was advised there would be a half hour wait so I placed the order and popped next door for a quick pint.I ordered two curries. One was the house special and the other a normal chicken. The sauce, though hot enough was very bland and lacking in spice and volume. The chicken used seemed to be pre-cooked pre packed processed as it was just mixed into the sauce and warmed through. It was pretty tasteless with no sign of the sauce adding to the flavour. There is no excuse for taking short cuts when doing the dish by adding this precooked stuff for speed. The sauce should be added as the chicken or meat is cooked so the curry flavour goes through. I do not mind that extra few minutes for things to be done properly.I have made far better Chinese curry myself. This was not cheap either. Not recommended. All places I know have these 'glitches' now and then and maybe it was one of those times.

Really good Chinese takeaway and staff really friendly. A food and good portion size.Cash only but Bank cash points very near. Saturday night is really busy, even when you order in advance can still end up waiting 30 minutes plus. Great place but if possible avoid a Saturday or be prepared to wait.

Launceston fryers is an absolute must visit for fish and chip lovers. They are simply the best. We’ve been visiting for many years and they are consistently brilliant. My husband absolutely loves fish and chips and he’s probably eaten more than most, but he always loves this place above all others.
