It lies to the north of the West Pennine Moors on the southern edge of the Ribble Valley, 9 miles (14 km) east of Preston, 20.9 miles (34 km) NNW of Manchester and 9 miles (14 km) north of the Greater Manchester border. Blackburn is bounded to the south by Darwen, with which it forms the unitary authority of Blackburn with Darwen; Blackburn is its administrative centre. At the time of the UK Government's 2001 census, Blackburn had a population of 105,085, whilst the wider borough of Blackburn with Darwen had a population of 140,700. Blackburn had a population of 117,963 in 2011, a massive increase since 2001.

A great place to go have some freshly made food. The staff are great and everything on the menu is freshly made in front of you. They use a tandoor for the naan and kebabs so you get a real authentic taste. Good seating and they do a good job of take away stop. Not had a wrong order from them since theyâve opened.

Chinese takeaway serving the usual type of food. Visited 3 times now and hoped it would improve as it is just down the road from me. Chinese dishes are claggy and chips are greasy. Won't be going back.

Had takeaways delivered from here twice recently. Food is very good. Meat samosas and seekh kebab were excellent. King prawn dansak (asked for it hot) and chicken tikka madras (asked for as medium) were both very tasty cooked to the requested heat. Even though the restaurant is 10 minutes away from us, the food was delivered within 30 minutes. We will be having another very soon.....

Best Fish n chips around..absolutely delicious, batter is perfect and you can order lightly batttered if you wish. Definitely recommend you will not be disappointed!Owner & staff are friendly and always looking for a bit of banter.Tip - Go early to avoid the queue which is usually out onto the pavement!
