The Wine Cellar is a piece of gourmet heaven born from an ethos of gorgeous wine, great food, and generous service. Come and join us.
I had booked this venue a while in advance as they have the back room which can be used for larger gatherings. For ease all the guests had chosen their starters and mains with the exception of the birthday boy. They couldn't have been more helpful from the getgo with menus sent through, orders confirmed, special children's choices.I had been to the venue earlier in the day to decorate the room, which unfortunately was in use, however by the time my daughter attended early to decorate the tables and the room were ready for us to surprise my partner. The staff were welcoming, very friendly and attentive and made sure everything was perfect throughout the evening. We weren't rushed out and in fact were there fairly late, they arranged the bills into individual groups which was a blessing for payments at the end. My partner and our family and friends had a wonderful night celebrating his 60th.Thank you to the team for a wonderful night. Well worth a visit as highly recommended for either a lunch or evening meal in couples or in parties great choices, great value.

The Last Wine Bar welcomed its first customers in 1990, a time when âDel Boyâ helped to make wine bars fashionable! Over time, the proposition has changed significantly. We now offer both an a la carte menu and a tapas inspired small plates menu, in three
The Last Wine Bar is situated quite close to Norwich Cathedral. There was no obvious staff member in charge of 'Greeting and Seating'. Our wine arrived in good time together with crusty brown bread and a dipping oil - other restaurants please note! Our first courses and puddings were good and well presented. Our main dish of venison haunch was virtually raw in the middle - we were not asked how we would have liked it cooked. The venison also provided a severe test for our steak knives! The service was slow although the restaurant was not full. It would be good if the waiting staff were encouraged to note a long wait for service, and report to the kitchen. This pleasant venue will remain in the middle range whilst charging almost 'Fine Dining Prices.Thank you for your comments. Feedback is always useful when we don't get it totally right. After a couple of comments about the venison, our head chef Iain is today talking to our suppliers, to ensure that the meat quality is where we would want it to be.We hope you will try us again, and thank you once again for your feedback.

Went here as a birthday treat for my husband and we had a lovely evening. We chose the charcuterie platter along with some olives and bread. Really enjoyed it unfortunately we ordered our wine by the glass but probably should have ordered by the bottle as it made it more expensive. We will know for next time. Also no price list for the wine which didnât help us. But overall and enjoyable evening.

A very warm welcome was given and the restaurant is nicely presented. Complimentary drinks were provided while we ordered. The food was fantastically cooked. 'Melt in the mouth' is definitely a good description. Great menu offerings and superb wine choices. This is a self service wine bar, with bits of food on offer. All wine is 25% off on Weds evenings. As I'm not a huge wine drinker, I thought it might be fun to try samples to find out what I really enjoyed. We decided to get some food as well, we all ordered the Wallow board, although my friend and I ordered a single board instead of ordering for 2, and I wouldn't necessarily recommend this, as the selection is far more minimal. Definitely worth a visit.
