Birkenhead /ˌbɜːrkənˈhɛd/ is a town within the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral in Merseyside, England. Historically in Cheshire, it is on the Wirral Peninsula, along the west bank of the River Mersey, opposite the city of Liverpool. The Birkenhead Urban Area defined as the contiguous built-up area along the eastern side of the Wirral had a total population of 325,264 in the 2011 Census. In the 2011 census, the Parliamentary constituency of Birkenhead had a population of 88,818. The Birkenhead and Tranmere electoral ward, covering a much smaller area, had a population of 15,879.

Visited Tusk for my friends birthday celebrations. What can I say....... absolutely brilliant. The food was delicious, cocktails flowing, service A1, the staff were attentive, nothing was too much trouble, they ensured we had a fabulous night. The atmosphere and ambience was perfect. Massive thank you to Andrea and the team for making our celebrations so special. Xx

Fantastic atmosphere and fabulous food. From bites to burgers and big bowls there is a wide menu choice. We had Blind Scouse, Goan curry and a seitan burger. All meals were beautifully presented and tasted amazing. For dessert we indulged in chocolate brownies and ice cream and an oreo sundae. Everything was tasty and fresh. Great service too. We will return.

Needed a Curry Restaurant near to our hotel so chose Baton Rouge as was within walking distance. Large restaurant with great atmosphere. Food was great and service good despite being busy. Would definitely recommend. Only negative was no mobile signal.

Previous food experiences over the last 12 months had not been good in Liverpool so I was determined to do some research and we found this place. We've had a rubbish pub experience after getting the ferry and we've been to Almost Famous for a slimey burger.Wahaca kept all the family happy. 4 of us paid £84 in total so not a cheap eat but it was really, fresh & tasty. From the nachos to the mains we all ate quality food in a clean environment. It was a Saturday at 5.30pm just after football at Anfield. The place was buzzing and we were glad we had booked a table just an hour earlier.It seems like a big restaurant over a couple of floors but there were plenty of staff and the service was excellent.
