Quality, award winning family run fish & chip restaurant and takeaway (est. 1966). 80 seats, air conditioned, heated. Large car park suitable for coach parties. Open 7 days a week. Varied menu includes gluten free.
Just called for 2 portions of regular cod and chips. When we got home we were shocked at the small size of fish. It was half the size it usually is with a lot less chips. Always go here and get a box full of lovely food but not today. Hi, not sure what's going on here. The portions are measured out the same as they always are. The fish are all cut and weighed the same as they always are. It is very difficult to deal with a complaint via Trip Advisor, you would be far better off contacting the shop on 01909 478760. This is the only complaint we have received of this nature, you may note that the latest review said the portions were too big.. so I can only presume you've been given the wrong meal or there was a communication breakdown? Let me know next time you pop in. Regards nick

There was a time when this was the best chippy in the Sop and it stood head and shoulders above the rest but I am sorry to say those days are long gone. The fish is tiny and the chips were only just warm, I would not recommend this place unfortunately.

I came to the Cypriana Fish Bar for the first time yesterday. We were for looking somewhere to eat that could provide filling food at a speedily pace, and Cypriana delivered on this requirement. Within ten minutes of seating, our food had been delivered. The food is nothing more than what you can expect from a fish and chip shop, simple, greasy food that is nicely filling. Additionally provided to our meal, without extra cost, were slices bread and butter to make a chip sandwich.Above the speed and the cheap as chip prices, the highlight of the place has to be the friendly nature of the staff. Our waitress, Anna, proved adept at her job, coming at regular intervals to see if we were satisfied with everything, bringing an upbeat atmosphere to our stay, along with her other colleague. If you're in the area, or need somewhere to grab a bite to eat but want nothing fancy or long, this is the place to go.
