We went for early dinner and it was very busy. The service was awfully slow. My wife and I rarely find ourselves in West Kirby but I'm so glad we found this place. I'm not really a massive pizza fan ive always associated it with greasy takeaway food but this is nothing of the sort. The dough is hand stretched in an open kitchen which is great to see. The service is impeccable also there seemed to be only 1 member of staff on and the restaurant seemed busy so my wife joked that we would be left waiting. Again nothing of the sort the chap serving was very helpful and polite. We have just visited Sunday evening tea here. Quality food - excellent value as part of the 50% off pizza and pasta on Sundays and also Tuesdays. Friendly service, nice atmosphere, reasonably priced wine - we will definitely be back. Can highly recommend Calzone Carne.

I dont know what has gone wrong here but the food has really deterioriated. Had the seafood pasta but wasnt told that flavour was not included. It was totally tasteless. Also the sea bass dish was very poor. It seems that the poor fish had been in a fight - and lost. It was ridicously small. Service as good as ever. I was hungry after socialising with some friendsI didn't want much so I chose a small donner kebab. I had it without salad and with garlic mayo.For a small one there was plenty of it. I felt quite full after eating it and it was tasty.At £4 I would say it was very good value.I will definitely go again.
