Thank god! We have people behind the bar and serve food who care about the pub and the people in it.Service fantastic.Food great.Pub much more welcoming ,not just looking after the regulars (getting served first even if you have been waiting for a long time.) but treating everyone the same .Keep up the good work.

I recently visited the Brampton Halt, where I was greeted by amazing staff and was looked after by Grace. The overall experience was positive however I did notice the appalling treatment of the staff by the manager Tim. This restaurant was recommended by a colleague staying at The Park Inn. Northampton is desperate for a decent town centre steak house and now it has one!!!2 sirloin steaks and a bottle of red, what's not to like. Quality of the steaks exceptional, cooked to perfection and the plonk wasn't bad too!Will definitely return

Having this pub just 200 yards away and not having visited for a couple of years,my partner and myself decided to go after a refit.What a mistake,admitted the service was very quick but the food was just about edible and the dessert my partner had was a poor mans Eton Mess or that,s what the menu said.After this visit it will be along time before we go again,not impressed.My partner had a cocktail and if it had spirits in it,we are still looking and my pint of so called real ale was very wishywashy,as is always the same with particular brewer.Never again!

This is a lovely pub with good staff and plenty of interesting places to sit and enjoy a great selection of drinks. The menu reads well but we were disappointed by the pork belly, fat rubbery top when it could be crisp and moorish. The sea bass had too many small bones in it and we gave up!
