On Friday 30th August 2019, My husband and I went out to celebrate Maureenâs belated Birthday. Maureenâs actual Birthday was on the 17th August, but my husband and I were on holiday, hence we were celebrating today. We picked Maureen up from her home in our car. We then went to 'The Lee Garden Cantonese Restaurant' in Litchfield. The restaurant is done out in the typical âChineseâ decor with comfortable chairs and tables with lovely cream tablecloths and white chopsticks and crockery and sparkling glassware and fresh flowers on every table.The food here is very good. My husband and I decided to have the Dim Sum Platter of prawn toast, seaweed, filo pastry wrapped prawns, spring rolls, mini Samosaâs and chilli and salt chicken wings with a sweet and sour dip. Maureen had the vegetable Yuk Sung, which she said was delicious.For our main course My husband and I shared: Beef in Oyster sauce, Sweet and Sour Chicken with pineapple and Scallops in a garlic sauce and we shared a big bowl of Singapore Special Fried Noodles. Maureen had Sweet and Sour Vegetables with a bowl of egg fried rice. We washed all this lovely food down with a nice bottle of Sparkling Prosecco, which was very palatable.We all had lychees for our dessert; and we all had coffees afterwards. The bill for all this food was very reasonable and we left well fed and satisfied. If you want really nice food in a nice atmosphere, then this is the place to come.

I rarely write reviews, but felt compelled to write one for the Golden Wok. The quality of the food was superb - the best ribs ever, fabulous yuk sung and our main dishes weren't filled with the gelatinous gloop that so many Chinese takeaways are. Definitely recommended!

We had not been for a while and the menu had changed from a fixed price all you can eat to ordering individual courses each individually charged. There was set menus for three people plus were you got a selection of starters and mains. We ordered the set menu for three people and we was not disappointed. The portion sizes were good we had prawn crackers Yuk sung and a selection for three people of ribs , sesame toast chicken skewers,and spring rolls with dips . We had a large bowl of rice and four mains to share . We were surprised to be asked if we wanted a desert in with the price . I had a lovely battered fried banana with syrup . The host seemed a bit abrupt when we first arrived , but he was fine afterwards. The service was very good .Thank you very much for your lovely review we are very pleased that you enjoyed our new menu However regarding the host I must apologise he should of been very welcoming from start to finish maybe a little word with him will sort it.. hope to see you again at the Ruby in the near future

Went here for my birthday after a friend recommended it. The food was delicious and generous and we even ordered more after we had finished as we wanted to be sure that we wouldn't waste any being as the restaurant can charge for wastage. The table was ideal with the spinner as there was 8 of us. Service was very good. Only complaint was it was very cold in there and we ended up eating with our coats on which was annoying. Over all very good- we would return.

A well established Chinese takeaway that is rightly popular. The key to the food being so fresh and flavoursome is that they are so busy everything is cooked fresh using the freshest ingredients.The serving assistant was very capable - managing to take phone orders and orders in person with the minimum of fuss and maximum efficiency.The wait for my order, on a busy Friday teatime was around 10 minutes which I thought pretty OK. The dishes are well priced as well with the main courses hovering just under or over £5. They even deliver anywhere in Lichfield for just a £1 surcharge. Last but not least I noticed that they have a 5 star hygiene score which is reassuring.
