We love Joy Bangla and have been eating here for many years. We very rarely eat out, only birthdays and special occasions really, but Joy Bangla is our restaurant of choice, every time! What brings us back time and time again is the fantastic service and beautiful food! The Bangla boys are wonderful and make you feel like family! The food is always hot, fresh and tasty! Also, the curries are never greasy or oily! A bonus for us dieters! Haha!Congratulations to the Bangla boys, you have an amazing restaurant, amazing food and amazing service. We always have a great time when we come to eat with you. You deserve every success. Thank you for a wonderful birthday meal this evening! See you soon!Penny and ChrisAwwww, thanks Penny and Chris, we do love having you visit and helping you celebrate your birthday was a real pleasure.Hope to see you soon.

Excellent value for money, we went for the £9.95 Sunday (and Wednesdays) deal. Poppadoms (but pay a small charge for pickle tray) a starter a main and a choice from rice, chips or nann bread, ice cream or coffee. Plenty as well and really tasty with good staff and a nice atmosphere.

not been for a while so an impromptu visit. Nice to see the log burner on as quite chilly. Mixed starter was delicious, the chicken tikka especially. Mains really fragrant and freshly cooked. Definitely will be going back soon. Nice level of attentiveness too.
Where to eat Indian food in Pontefract: The Best Restaurants and Bars

Visited this place a good few months ago and not been back since. The prices are good, yes you do need to take your own drinks, however I've been to better Indian restaurants where the food just tastes better. I will not be returning unfortunately the meat was very dry and chewy. However I'd say it's ok if you fancy a cheap meal out nothing more.
