Discover the ultimate experience in Indian and Nepalese dining.Rimjhim offers a new and innovative way of sampling the finest in world class contemporary cuisine. If you enjoy authentic food made with fresh ingredients and spices then treat your taste bud
Disappointed with Rimjhim, after 2 different friends recommending this restaurant as being superb, 4 of us decided to give the restaurant a try and our expectations were high. Unfortunately the expectation fell pretty much as soon as we walked in, the staff member that greeted us was dressed very casually in a jumper which did not look that professional. He showed us to the table but did not offer to take our coats, we had to leave these on our chairs. We chose drinks of g&t and beers. The two g&tâs arrived in tall tumblers and were served with no ice, they tasted a bit weak. I asked the waiter if we could have ice in them, but he just took my one drink away and bought it back with ice, he obviously did not realise that we both wanted ice my friend tried to ask him to put ice in hers as well, but he had already disappeared. We ordered the food and the starters were served, this was quite a while after we sat down. At this point not a major issue, we were all chatting and time was passing quite quickly. The starters of chilli pork, chilli chicken and lamb dumplings were fine, the pork was a little tough but all quite tasty. We continued to wait for our mains and I suddenly realised that it had been one and a half hours since we had sat down, quite a wait for our food. It was busy in the restaurant, but perhaps it would have been nice if one of the staff had apologised for the long wait time? The mains arrived, my dish of tandoori rack of lamb was presented well and was very good, the presentation of the other three mains was not great, simply plated up in a bowl with no attempt to dress the dish with anything, they looked very plain. Of these dishes, the Kathmandu lamb was supposed to be hot but it was quite mild with not a lot of flavour. The Acari lamb was also quite mild but did have more flavour, it was voted the better of the two lamb mains. The final main of Malai duck was fine but a bit on the tough side. All in all, the staff not presenting the service that professionally, the drink issue and the long wait combined to make this a less than enjoyable experience. Unfortunately we did not feel that the quality of the food was good enough to make us want to give it a second try, so we will not be returning.

My son and I love visiting this Indian restaurant. Fortunately we have never pre booked and they have always managed to fin us a table. We choose on the day a different meal and have never been disappointed. The staff are welcoming and pleasant. I have a wheelchair and this is never a problem. Always be my first choice

My husband picked up a takeaway from here this evening, we were VERY disappointed. My vegetable dhansak had 4 small pieces of potato in it, nothing else substantial at all. I ordered boiled rice and was given pilau rice.My husband ordered garlic chilli chicken which was tasteless, the chicken tasted bland and possibly boiled. His garlic rice was fine.I phoned them an hour and a half later (they don't have an email). Although apologetic, we were offered the normal 10% discount for picking up plus an extra 5% for the inconvenience of our unpalatable meal. We have had food from here before so were extremely put out by the response to our concern, not what we had expected. We live in Wimborne and have visited both the restaurant and takeaway before but will not return or recommend either.

The establishment is being set up so initially starting as a pop up restaurant until building works completed. The chef is time served most excellent cook from the regionThe menu is professional with choices for all. The beef curry melted in my mouth, the service excellent. Satay was the best with quality ingredients served fast and warm. Our 7 year old lad loved it too. Best kept secret in Wimborne! Wish the family well and we will be back particularly when the build is complete. Worth checking their social media or calling for a booking as its pop up status at moment. Alcohol licence will come in time, check with owners if you can bring your own! PS the chef is also an excellent botanical artist too. Shhh dont tell anyone! We were visiting the area on holiday.
