Reviews on American food in Cambridge, England, United Kingdom. Cambridge might be best known for its university, home to some of the world’s greatest minds (Milton, Darwin, Hawking, etc.). But there’s a vibrant theater and arts scene here as well, and you’ll find fantastic contemporary restaurants mixed in with traditional pubs. Climb the tower of Great St. Mary’s Church for sweeping views of the city.

In the heart of Cambridge we've smoked, pulled, brined and seasoned classic BBQ food and paired it with beer, bourbon & milkshakes. Delivered fast. Eat-in or take out.
Thought we would try the other Cambridge SmokeWorks. Had the buggy which we had to leave near front door. Luckily itâs a travel one and folds easily but would have been more of an issue if bigger or needed toddler to stay in it as asleep as you canât take into main part of restaurant. Definitely not wheelchair accessible. Much smaller than the Station Road one, limited seating which was uncomfortable - wooden benches with no backs and very close to the people behind us as I kept accidentally elbowing the poor bloke behind me in the back (probably better that than the toddler stab him in the back with a fork!) We had nachos to start followed by pulled pork bap for one of us and hotdog for the other. Nachos were really disappointing; dry, tasteless and really overpriced. Main meals were lovely, if a bit light on the pulled pork in the bap, but were filling and tasty. Finished off with a thick salted caramel shake again - lovely!Lady who served us was knowledgable and friendly, bringing colouring and spoons for the toddler as requested. Hey sambolinaaaThanks for coming to visit with us and I'm happy you enjoyed your mains too. It's surprising to hear you didn't enjoy our nachos as they're one of our most popular pistarters, however if I was made aware at the time I would of made sure to adjust them to your liking. Our tables are static in the restaurant upstairs and we usually have space for buggy's at the front of the restaurant, although if they are being used there's never a long wait for tables as we have a Tap bar next door to have a drink while you're waiting. Hope to see you againVicky Cheng Assistant Manager

My wife and I had an excellent visit. It was our anniversary, and this was remembered by our by our great server (I booked online). His attention throughout was outstanding, and even my wife's sweet was complimentary due to the occasion. The decor is great, and the music not too loud...perfect volume.. The food was freshly prepared and excellent. A great ambiance. We will be back hopefully!

Opened on Friday 23rd June 2017, SmokeWorks Station Road is our 2nd SmokeWorks in Cambridge; a big brother to Free School Lane in the city centre. We have re-energised the derelict Great Northern pub into a steampunk BBQ joint and bar. "Slow Cooked. Fast"
On a really busy night, we had a terrific time thanks to Anya, Mario, and Lizzie who in spite of being rushed off their feet still served us with their usual enthusiasm and smiles. The food was, as always, excellent! Particularly the pulled beef bun. The perfect way to get over a trick start to the week.Hey SteppenLuce, lovely to hear such terrific feedback for the whole team that were working the evening. I know the shift in question and they certainly pulled out all the stops between them! Love that you're a returning customer who enjoys the food so much, we look forward to your next visit.

Proper hamburgers made from British beef, freshly prepared and cooked to order, served with a craft beer
We visited on a sunny afternoon at around 15:30. It wasnât busy. Service was great, A very friendly, attentive and helpful waitress served us. Restaurant was cool and airy on a hot day. Food was delicious. Portions were generous so left no room for dessert. The floor is in need of repair and may put people off visiting but couldnât fault the restaurant other than that. Toilets were ok too. A little facelift there could enhance them. Having said that if I was in the area I would visit again.Really nice to hear that you enjoyed everything with your meal and that the service was up to scratch! Thanks so much for taking the time to let us know about the details of your visit - we will pass your comments on and we look forward to hopefully seeing you again soon.

You need work on presentation but taste is nailed. Expensive two soft drinks, two great burgers and 1 fries £35 inc tip and then cc card machine y I u ask for another tip really irritatingEx
