I just love it here. Never had a bad meal. Sirloin steak cooked perfectly, excellent range of starters and sides (the Chipotle chicken is to die for), and the densest chocolate dessert I've ever eaten. Needing a place to eat and drink after a hard days fishing at nearby canon bridge we came upon this lovely pub in the wilds of Herefordshire. great welcome, great beer and good pub food. Prawn cocktails and mushrooms on toast were excellent starters and the mains- burgers, curry and fish and chips were our generous choices - so generous none of us could finish. Really friendly waitress explained to us how to get back to Hereford via Bridge Sollers but when we got there the road was closed - never mind - we retraced our steps back to Hereford another way via some narrow roads. Had lovely chats with the friendly locals too.Pub has its own boules 'court' outside which was the scene of some very competitive matches.

Two of us went for Sunday lunch, there's an option to upgrade to large which I asked to do, twice actually, and still got a standard dinner, when I asked if it was large I had the reply " no it's not sorry" no offer to take it back for me and get the one I asked for? Two tiny bowls of basic veg barely enough for one person let alone two, no veg gravy offered for the vegetarian option, desserts microwaved to death, staff barely knew the menu themselves, and struggle to get a please or thank you out of them also, terrible and will not return.Apologies for the delay in responding to your post - I was not made aware of it. I can only apologise for your less than satisfactory experience. I do not take any pleasure in receiving negative reviews so, I will be looking at your complaints and endeavouring to improve on what was obviously an unexceptable experience

Good food and prices/deals as normal with Beefeater restaurants but the service was exceptional. I was served by the manager Liam who was extremely friendly. I was travelling for business so on my own so he didn't just take my order but was happy to strike up a conversation as well
