Reviews on International food in Harlow, England, United Kingdom. Harlow is a former Mark One New Town and local government district in the west of Essex, England. Situated on the border with Hertfordshire, it occupies a large area of land on the south bank of the upper Stort Valley, which has been made navigable through other towns and features a canal section near its watermill. Old Harlow is a village-size suburb founded by the early medieval age and most of its high street buildings are early Victorian and residential, mostly protected by one of the Conservation Areas in the district. In Old Harlow is a field named Harlowbury, a de-settled monastic area which has the remains of a chapel, a scheduled ancient monument.

Wow what a lovely lovely pub. As soon as we walked in we knew it would be good, we could smell the wood burner and hear kids giggling and people chatting, such a lovely atmosphere. The staff were excellent and took the time to explain things on the menu for us and talk us through our drink choices. The food was absolutely wonderful, simple but tasty and very well presented - they could easily charge twice as much and i'd happily pay for it.

The Raj Lounge was recommended as the best local Indian Restaurant by the hotel we were staying in and they werenât wrong. Neither of us like really hot curries but often milder dishes are a bit bland. The food here was full of flavour and not too oily. The portion size was not overwhelming either. Very good value for money and great service. Would definitely recommend.

A clean and popular cafe with friendly staff and exceptional service. The cafe is situated next to the river with a free car park available. The variety and quantity of food is amazing and the prices are good value for money. Highly recommended.
