There have been many changes to the surroundings of Turkuisine, with the once quiet Burrow Street now becoming the main entrance to the bus station. Whilst the street is now much busier, the adjacent car parks have been improved and the subsequent access is much better than it was. What hasn't changed is the warm welcome you get from the owner, the superb and delicious food and excellent service. It is clearly these important qualities that continue to keep this restaurant in the number one spot. You can enjoy an excellent meal in pleasant surroundings, without breaking the bank. Long may it continue.

Turknaz Restaurant is situated on the seafront of Whitley Bay. We are a modern sophisticated restaurant that serves authentic turkish food combined with beautiful wines and cocktails.
Locally well known and popular place. Authentic Turkish cuisine. Lamb Guvec, I had was sumptuous and so tasty. Large portion. Bayleaf rolled starters were superb. Service was excellent and starters as well as main course arrived within 10-15 mins of each other. Our 2 and half year old grandaughter was delighted with Turkish rice and fries! Certainly worth a visit. Need to book in advance though.Thank you so much for such a lovely review; we greatly appreciate your wonderful feedback and look forward to welcoming you back very soon...With our best wishes,Team Turknaz x

Salash is perfect for those who are looking for traditional, freshly, lovingly prepared Turkish food. We use a charcoal grill to cook traditional Turkish dishes from recipes used in the South East Anatolia region of Turkey.
Nestled amongst the many restaurants on the popular Ocean Road is the Salash. This was my first visit during restaurant week. We opted for the £7.95 menu. The food is amazing all washed down with efess beer. Lovely atmosphere with great service . Will be back
