Discover Restaurants offering the best Seafood food in Cotswolds, England, United Kingdom. The Cotswolds (/ˈkɒtswoʊldz/ KOTS-wohldz, /-wəldz/ -wəldz) is an area in south central England containing the Cotswold Hills, a range of rolling hills which rise from the meadows of the upper Thames to an escarpment, known as the Cotswold Edge, above the Severn Valley and Evesham Vale. The area is defined by the bedrock of Jurassic limestone that creates a type of grassland habitat rare in the UK and that is quarried for the golden coloured Cotswold stone. It contains unique features derived from the use of this mineral; the predominantly rural landscape contains stone-built villages, historical towns and stately homes and gardens. The population of the District is about 84,000.

Critically-acclaimed, small, independent restaurant specialising in sustainable British seafood and local Cotswold produce.
The food was incredible and beautifully presented, however, a starter-main-dessert combo left us feeling hungry. In hindsight we should have gone for the tasting menu (5 or 7 courses) rather than a la cà rte. Italian wine was great. But we went home and had to make ourselves sandwiches to fill up

As always the starters and mains were excellently cooked, presented and served: the dining experience however is not all that matters in creating an enjoyable evening. However, to maintain its reputation in the competitive Nailsworth market, I think that William's Kitchen will have to improve its access to, and the facilities provided in its bathrooms. The stairway, landings and bathrooms are really below standard and let down the otherwise excellent experience. From the top of the stairs you are faced with views of storage and back of house facilities that do not do justice to the downstairs environment, and the new guest might not find their way to the bathroom due to lack of signage. We are fans of William's, but do wonder if they could do better in this regard?
