Went back to the restaurant after nearly a 3 year break and unfortunately not much had changed from our last visit. The decor still looks tired and jaded and unless i am very much mistaken still appears to have pictures of Italian landmarks on the walls from the previous restaurant's occupancy. The service was fine but as their were only 6 of us in the place this was to be expected. The food though was very average and the portion size on the small size. The cheapest thing on the plate were Saute Potatoes so why scrimp on them? A child's size portion would be my best observation. The red wine we had was fine and not ridiculously expensive. Their are two similar restaurants in Dunstable now and both of them do this sort of food, but do it a lot better. Definitely room for improvement....

Very busy for a Thursday eve. Service was swift for drinks on arrival. Had hot mezze platter, very tasty & hot. May courses served with a fresh, very colourful salad. Lamb and chicken shish were juicy and more-ish. Portions are big. Complementary baklava to finish & perfectly chilled wine. We will defo be back.
Lebanese/Mediterranean healthy lifestyle cuisine. Firstly ease into our freshly prepared appetizers and mezzes consisting of salads, olives, cooked vegetables, pickles and hummus then swiftly feast on our mouthwatering tendered marinated meat, be it prime
There seemed to be only 2 members of staff on duty when my family and I went there.Place was empty. We ordered our starters which were nice .. plentiful however lacked flavour, e.g. houmous was runny and lacked garlic flavour, chilli sauce was not hot. It may be that Lebanese food is like that because never eaten Lebanese before, however have eaten Middle Eastern food like forever and itâs generally mouthwatering tasty. Not here - edible but not tasty enough. Also the food was not temperature hot enough. All in all it was ok. Only been open six months so hopefully by looking at their reviews they will try to improve. Good luck Charcoal House - Dunstable.
