The town is 34.5 miles (55.5 km) southwest of London in the extreme west of Surrey, adjacent to the border with Hampshire. By road, Guildford is 11 miles (17 km) to the east and Winchester a further 28 miles (45 km) along the same axis as London. Farnham is the largest town in Waverley, and one of the five largest conurbations in Surrey. It is of historic interest, with many old buildings, including a number of Georgian houses. Farnham Castle overlooks the town. A short distance southeast of the town centre are the ruins of Waverley Abbey, Moor Park House and Mother Ludlam's Cave. Farnham is twinned with Andernach in Germany. It is drained by the River Wey (North Branch) which is navigable only to canoes at this point.

The reports are all accurate a truly warm friendly pub, nice greeting and looked after well. Wanted a light snack and chose 2 sandwiches from an interesting varied menu. Generous size nicely presented. If we are ever in the area again would certainly return.

I visited Farnham over the bank holiday weekend to see some old friends. As such we decided on Borellis at my friends recommendation. However the experience wasnât great. The staff were rather rude and brief and didnât give the attention to detail you would expect.I ordered the steak but unfortunately it was not cooked to a good standard and the presentation of the food was poor. I wouldâve expect more from here and felt rather disappointed.

We visited in November, as itâs somewhere new Iâd driving past.Lovely fresh Chicken and Lamb Kebab cooked on the grill. My other half had the hummus and falafel wrap. Both were top notch and Iâll visit again.
