I have reviewed before and commented that the restaurant was very quiet although food and service was very good. Well I am pleased to say that food and service is still good and for a Wednesday night it was busy. We enjoyed a really nice family meal with a good atmosphere.Thanks for taking the time to write another review, with some lovely positive comments, hopefully we will get our 5 bubbles next timeKind regardsReg Pielesz

a really excellent family meal. the staff were very attentive and the food was excellent. there were 10 people so various dishes were ordered all excellent. this was the friday evening. on the saturday evening was my 80th birthday party in the franklin suite.this was executed by maria and her excellent team. absolutely superb.

We had the two course set prestige menu. My mussels were not very tasty (past their best and shrivelled) but juice and pieces of ham hock/bacon were good. Partners dick pate was excellent. Mains of half a chicken were good, fries great but wish we had ordered a vegetable side, would have been better with French beans. I gave feedback on mussels so was great to see that they took off the charge for two espresso. Very good wine. Excellent service.
