Mild ocean breezes, sandy beaches and swaying Torbay Palms give the small English town of Torquay a distinctively Mediterranean feel. More than just a beach spot, Torquay boasts an enormous coastal aviary and the famous Kents Cavern Prehistoric Caves. Agatha Christie spent most of her life here, and the city is now home to multiple film companies. With such a rich literary history, Torquay may be the perfect place to finish writing that novel or screenplay, or just to relax with a good mystery.

Used to use this place regularly. I think it has been taken over. Collected 2 chicken and chips a little while ago. Disappointing. Gave it a second go tonight, large cod and chips. Chips were just about acceptable. Fish was dreadful. Thick batter hard on the outside and barely cooked inside. I am so sorry but not going back again.

REGIONAL FINALIST FOR THE NATIONAL FISH & CHIP AWARDS - that means that we're in the top 3 fish and chip shops covering Cornwall, Devon & Dorset.... Wow!!! Also voted Local's Best Fish & Chips!!! All food is cooked to order and served both hot and fresh.
Lovely fish and chips, possibly the best Iâve had, we checked and itâs cheaper than the restaurant over the road. A very nice young waitress who couldnât have been more helpful. We will definitely come back when weâre next on our holidays. Thank you Abcatal that's praise indeed. I guess you ate in - we've had our eat-in open since Easter after being relocated to another building for a couple of years, but it's back and it's open and we're delighted that you enjoyed both your great food and helpful service. Look forward to your next visit to Devon

Coffee and Vinyl - An independent record shop cafe, specialising in vinyl, barista coffee, local food & supporting Devon's creative community and performing arts.
Most cafés in Torquay are bland and dated. This café however is one of the best in every way. Independent. Innovative space and great coffee, home made fare, charming and engaging Paul, owner, chef and barista. It does what it says on the tin. Coffee and vinyl! Turntable and huge selection of vinyls. Happy place and a breath of fresh air. Close to centre of town but on free on street parking on the road opposite.
