The perfect destination for a memorable lunch, dinner, or drink, this family friendly pub, bar and restaurant is perfectly equipped to accommodate all of your dining requirements. The Minnow is impressive inside and out. The recently refurbished pub offer
This restaurant could easily improve if certain basics are sorted out. First of all our waiterâs dress code was t-shirt plus another crumpled shirt. A better impression would have been created if he was smarter. He took our orders and after quite a long wait the food arrived. My wife had ordered lobster and crab cakes and instead she received a seafood sandwich. Whilst the replacement order was reasonably quick, it meant that we did not eat together. The waiter did apologise, but I do think more could have been done. The food was very average, and somewhat overpriced. It is unlikely that we will return.Hi Roadwarrior1000, I appreciate your honest feedback, as we are always looking for ways to improve. I regret that your most recent visit with us was not up to the high standards for food and service we strive for. I would like the opportunity to address your concerns. First awarded a Michelin star in October 2016 & 4 rosettes by The AA in 2018, The Tudor Room is a richly decorated dining room, boasting silk lined walls and a dominant seventeenth century tapestry. With just 8 tables, The Tudor Room offers a tasting menu
Having stayed at the property before many years ago we booked a special package for D,B&B for my husbands Birthday & Our Anniversary. The Tudor room wasnât available previously and as weâre keen foodies we really wanted to give this place a try. The whole experience was wonderful, we started in the bar with G&Tâs and were escorted through to the beautiful room, where thankfully the decoration has not been modernised like other parts of the hotel. The menu is a seven course taster menu where you get an option on a number of courses and we were very happy with the choices (sometimes with taster menus this is not the case). What is good is that the restaurant offers ½ bottles of wine which as I only drink White and my Husband loves Red meant we could each indulge without worrying about having to finish the whole bottle. Not once did we have to fill up our own glasses and our water glasses were topped up continually throughout the evening. Each dish was explained as it was presented to us, the service and food was exceptional. The highlight of our stay.Dear Boho1979Thank you for your review and congratulations on your birthday and anniversary! I am delighted that you thoroughly enjoyed your meal and the experience overall. I loo forward welcoming you back soon again. With kind regardsSandra MuellerGeneral Manager

This is our third Xmas Day lunch at this hotel. Two previous visits were very good, food great etc. Was very dissapointed with the lunch this year, starter and dessert ok but the main Xmas lunch was luke warm and the turkey was over cooked and tough and served up as big thick slices and hardly any vegetables. The tables and room were decorated very nice, good quality crackers, hats etc. Our last two visits seemed quieter and less people this year seemed a little crammed and hurried. Its a lot of money to spend on a bad meal we always do it as a treat and such a shame as the two previous years have been excellent and will not be booking for next year.
