Things to do in Swanage
Having visited the Parade fish bar for many years (20+) whenever we visit Swanage, this year's visit was a great disappointment. The seating area was dirty and the table clearly hadn't been wiped all day. The person 'serving' at the counter was surly and the table service (which used to be a great feature) no longer exists. The food was ok, but nothing special. And nearly £30 for 3 x fish and chips and drinks was a bit steep. We'll be visiting another fish bar next time we visit.

Would not go again. Ordered then realised over 60 meal avail. Tried to cancel but they wouldn't. F&c and tea £31. £17 if over 60s given. Food was just about okay. NOT WORTH THE MONEY....RIP OFF RE QUALITY OF FOOD

Surprised by the variety. Rissoto, curry and of course chicken and fish. The curry was excellent. The risotto was risotto! But the fish and chips is great. Onion rings could be better. They need more onion inside but better is light. Great cup of Yorkshire tea. Try the ginger and lemon tea. The over 60s deal is also good. Despite very few staff, service was very good.

The fish was overcooked the haddock was a very thin sliver of fish so needed to be cooked according to its size. We asked for them to take a coffee order and no one came back to us. It was busy and the staff were running all over the place. Food took ages which was surprising for a restaurant with a take away downstairs. Won't come back.Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry your experience was disappointing. We would like to investigate this further. Please get in touch via email with the date & time of your visit and your complete order to [email protected] I have requested TripAdvisor move this review to Harlees the parade, Swanage as this is page for another branch. A beautiful evening and watched the most fantastic sunset from our table. Casual, relaxed dining at its best. The seafood was really fresh and creatively inspired. Would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful restaurant and canât wait to go back for more.

My birthday today and I wanted to go here for lunch as we have done on previous occasions. It was showery but we checked met check and the weather was due to improve. On arrival meet and greet was all about the rain due in. Are you open or not ?? Gill who we love and think usually does a good job was simply goddam rude. Message is stop getting so defensive about downstairs I know itâs nothing to do with you. A smile a greeting as opposed to growling at me wouldnât have gone a miss. We all know about the rain due in. If itâs open then letâs all be happy about it. Went downstairs for a very average meal. It didnât rain again so you could have served customers and taken money. Your 5minute weather warning wasnât correct after all. Disappointing to say the least because the food is usually amazing.

We are nothing fancy we are a relaxed family friendly restaurant.
Early evening in Swanage and many places were shut or shutting. The big name fish and chips place was only doing restaurant service. We were please to find Wright's open. It was good piece of fish, freshly cooked and the chips were good too. What's more it was at a reasonable price. Would use again if in the area.We were using the take away, not the restaurant.

Stopped in for a drink and a sandwich and not disappointed. Lovely location on the pier and the glass wall makes it visible. We were overcharged but it seemed a genuine mistake and was soon put right with no fuss. portions good and service friendly. only one toilet which was for everyone but there is another, less nice, toilet just outside on the pier.
